What will be the effect of removing the centre muffler from a TT JDM 2.5" cat back ?

I would think at idle it wouldn't be much different, maybe a bit louder through the rev range.

    Any droning issues ?

    Has anyone done this ?

On a TT more than likely smoke out the exhaust on idle unless you weld in a H pipe to balance the exhausts.

    What he said.
Oftentimes, under periods of high gas velocity, the sperving bearings on the turbo lunar wayneshaft can side-fumble, causing cardinal grammeters to incite the flow of oil past the hydrocoptic marzlevanes. Fitment of a nonreversible tremie pipe to the differential girdlespring can ensure that sidefumbling is effectively eliminated.

FWIW I'm running separate test pipes, to resonators, to rear muffler. No H or X pipe.

Don't notice any issues including droning. But then again I rarely cruise ;)

Since we're playing silly games to win silly prizes, I don't know how to answer any simpler than this:
Mufflers muffle. If you are worried about noise, droning, or don't care for flow restrictions then put more mufflers in. If you are not, disregard.

FYI, converting from high flow back to stock cat converters dropped approx 4dB from the exhaust at 2500rpm (for me). I'd expect similar from a centre muffler.
You could work out optimal spacing of the crossover point working off cylinder pressures, firing order etc... but by the sounds of it you are not wanting to get that involved?

TL;DR exhaust is black magic. It's one of those try it and see propositions if you are chasing that magical note.

It'll be fine, don't worry about it. I had a TT with no mufflers just cats one time and it was fine for long distance driving.

That's got not a thing to do with how your exhaust is set up,or is my Z the only one that works right ;)

Nah he's just right. You need a crossover/balance pipe in the exhaust. Yours probably has one too you just come across as the kind of bloke who wouldn't know it if it hit you in the head while you were working under the car.
