AUS Nissan/Datsun Nationals April 2011, Goulburn NSW

Hi All

Either i am having a really bad first day back at work, or i am having withdrawals after such a great weekend away at Zedfest....

So, i thought i'd start a thread to see what peoples plans are for the Nissan Nats next year over the Easter Long Weekend...?? seems like they're being dubbed the ZCar Nationals, so we have to be there in force to represent the 300ZX!!!! :zlove:

If people throw up their interest in coming, i'd be happy to start the search for a place we can all stay, play and eat together.....

 

As was mentioned in a few convo's over the weekend about how much hot water we usually get into regarding noise levels and sleepy caravan driving retirees with a consensual ACA anti-hoon mentality not appreciating our influx into their otherwise peacful slip into senility and eventually the grave. My GodParents live on a property about 20 minutes outside of Goulbourn which could host the Aus300zx Fraternity. Depending on numbers, etc, etc i'm happy to explore the options there. There are a number of beds, but there is also a MASSIVE shed...and I know how much all of you love a good shed. Added bonus is there will be no noise constraints.

 

Better put me down HaylZ! I might try the big drive down there next year to see what all the fuss is about.
Might drag off some of those old skewl Datto's too just to put some of them back in their place. haha.

We are still undecided, but knowing us it would be hard to keep away from a Zed event

 

I'd be interested in a bed Not a fan of camping...

 

yeah, i'm thinking my needs are more weighted on a comfy bed than the need to be loud all night

i guess its going to depend on whether Baz and Cindy are coming!!!!!!

 

Jen and I will be there. Plan on heading up on the thursday as there is usually a bit of practice at Wakefield on the friday. The place we stayed at the last time the nationals was in Goulbourn was excelent. From memory it was called Trappers.

I would personally be partial to maybe looking at booking out rooms in a motel complex for a bit of a change. Caravan/holiday parks and camping are always kewl, but i'd be up for maybe spoiling myself with an actual full sized bed in a room for a little change.

...what are other peoples opinions? I'm just thinking they will no doubt be some pretty big days during the weekend and it might be nice to have a warm, comfy, quiet bed to go back to after all the partying stops for the night/morning. I'm sure there are a few economical options for us there.

 

Good idea Benny, and then if we can find one that isn't too big we can book out the whole place and then there will be no unhappy campers.

Im happy to put my hand up to drive down there for the day and check out a whole lot of possible places.

If there are enough of us, we should be able to close out a small motel somewhere, like that great set-up in Coonabarabran. Even sacrificing a bit of distance to get a good facility wouldn't bother me.

 

We would be happy for a motel as well... something similar to Warwick which was pretty affordable!

As long as there is an 80's countdown to watch again though

 

Might represent the Z's when it's back up this way again.

 

I think Warwick was pretty good with most of us in the same motel. A large common area to meet and party would be good.

 

Agreed. With the House of KAOS, motel right next door, and the Coachman's over the road, it was perfect!

Would love to do Warwick again.
