No pivoting, & they stated they think the uas ones are wrong design...
Personally don't really trust z1 parts after all the dramas with their 58mm throttle bodies that weren't round & didn't seal. Denied their was an issue for years then suddenly released v2 which fixed all the problems but wouldn't do anything for people that bought v1's.
To be honest they look like a standard midori design with the option of using a bushing & a fancy shaped head.

Will wait for spl or grab the uas, current tune agent generic midori style doing fine would just prefer higher quality.

UAS arms cost a heap, and I'm still scared about snapping them. Why can't someone release midori style arms that pivot?

    SPL arms look good .

Can you confirm the rod end thickness on them. 12mm?

And the UAS v2 are thicker like midori .
Z1's will fail in time -centre section

Just to clarify Rob your talking about the threaded section on the heim joint yes? If so chucked the verniers across the traction & tension rods & both were 15.5mm, haven't checked the ruca's though.

Decided it was about time I drove the zed today but she was having none of it. Struggled for a while then fired but only idled for half a minute before dying, then no more startsies. I'm assuming its related to me moving the ptu, had a quick look then decided to install the spl tension rods instead. Lhs went on easy but rhs needs to be lengthened & I don't have the right size spanner... Will sort that tomorrow at work & fit it up one night after work.

Always liked the SPL gear but was never sure of the size of the rod ends .

cheers for clarifying, just measured the tension rod I'm taking into work & they're 17.5mm, that's for the current 'pro titanium' models.

Very slowly unfortunately, just haven't had time to get onto it again. Clay wing is still in the mold, have started trimming up the mold to separate it & have all the materials ready to build the wing but then work got insanely busy. Our deadlines tomorrow so hopefully will get stuck into it again later this week.

In other news have got the zed running, hooray! Went over all the wires / connections I'd had any contact with while moving the ptu & now it works. No idea what was loose all I know is it works now.
Also need to adjust ruca's as cambers wack at the moment & getting a slight rub on the guard at full compression when there wasn't one before (height hasn't changed).

Interesting, details? It's shaped for a 2+2 boot but doesn't attach to the back seat like the stock mat.

my guess is that it sits on top and is a boot mat, not like the stock liner.

correct, its rubber backed with the little 'pointy bits' to stop it slipping around & sits on top of the normal boot carpet.
Only the second one I'd seen so had to have it, now if only I could find a cheap set of those roof racks...

To protect the boot lining. spills dirt etc getting onto it.

Oh right... Boot trim isn't that expensive anyway, seems pointless.

If its rare though, I want one ;)

The idea is it protects the carpet, not the trim's. Or in my case it hides my ratty looking carpet...

WOW never seen one of those before !

    And really good condition too.

Had a look in FAST and the carpet version was from 10/94 onwards, there was a previous version that looks like a rubber type mat that was available up to 08/92.

IMO the mat was to provide moisture protection, hence the rubber backing.

So when you through things in like scuba gear and soaked panties it wont make a mess, and you can take it out and hose it off.
