Only when it rains....and this being Australia equates to a sum total of zero drifting excursions a year. I think you would find there are more capable drift car platforms running around and besides that, the Zed is far too pretty to drift. :zlove:

Way too heavy to drift bro...
But i guess there is a monaro running round in the drifting comps??
IMO the zed is a track / touring car not a drifter but im pretty sure theres a zed drifter on here ...

I get mine sideways from time to time...

And done 2 skidpan courses in it, I find it quite good and stable, Its just a matter of driving the car enough to pick up its subtle hints and then putting the car how you want it...

but in the same way I don't claim to be any good, lol

To be honest there are more capable cars out there, and in the same way if you did want a competitive drift car I would say don't worry about power (TT has easily enough to start with) and consentrate more on suspension and weight reduction..

First mod would be hicas lock bar, coilovers then maybe race seat etc...

Its your call mate, just don't go all ghetto and dori on us! lol

    me.

Don't let anyone tell you it can't be done.

Also, don't wrap it around a telephone pole.

Our track zed is almost ready for drifting.. just waiting for the 2-way lsd and coilovers to get here then we're ready to go.

Zed too heavy to drift? baaah.. you just need a decent driver.

You are building a Z for drifting.
    Do you have pictures?
Me the main thing I'm missing is a Hicas eliminator (i just disable electricaly the hicas pump...) and then everything (except the engine) will be ok :)

    Ive attempted it before.

    Vid of my effort HERE.

It can be done; but like others have said; its much harder in a zed than most other cars. Zeds tend to get very snappy in high speed slides (I'm talking 140+kph and not the pussy 40kph stuff) even with the HICAS disabled.

Yeah I gave it ago on the weekend

I have a HICAS Loack bar.

You gotta be quick to catch the back end, but once u have it its not so hard to hold it out there sideways, but when you want to fling it to the other side to change directions for another corner is were it starts getting hard :D as back end come around so quick!!

all FUN but .. I WANT MORE !!!

OK but did you remove all the plastic, rear seat...
With less weight on back, it's easier

how much cost a Hicas lock bar in australia?
