    hi,
Any one knows how to disconnect the 100km/hr warning chime?
Have the 300zx TT originally a speed limiter built in the CPU? do I have to change to an aftermarket CPU to get rid of the limiter?
    Any info is welcome
    Cheers

Tech section answers Q1. To remove the 184kmph speed limiter requires re-chipping with a modified Eprom.

    100klm chime

hi i just disconnected mine this morning it took 5 minutes, heres what you do:
just above the gauges in the shroud there are 2 screws keeping the dash pad above the instruments in place, undo those 2 screws. after you lift the dash lid you will see the housing of your instrument cluster, to the left at the back there is a green wire with a yellow strip joined with a bullet connector, disconnect it, put some electrical tape on the bare bullet connector so it dosn't earth on any metal service and your done. I went for for a (quick spin) shall we say on the f3 freeway and no more door chime, the reversing chime and headlight chime still work also. regards lou
