Hey all, I did a quick search but couldn't find the answer to my question. Is there a difference between a stock TT and stock NA ECU? I'm wanting to get my ECU chipped/socketed by Toshi..but he needs to know if there is a difference? If there is a difference..anyone got a spare stock NA ECU I can buy
k value for injectors is different, and i think the timing maps etc are slightly different. thats being said, if your getting it tuned, then either should be ok i think.
No probs... Renee, I was running a socketed TT ECU is my NA, running a Romulator (emulates a ROM chip) for many years. As long as the ROM contains an NA program, you can run it in a TT ECU.
Chrispy got it above but to clarify, Toshi sounds like he wants to bring a swap out ECU already socketed, so what he is concerned about is are they the same thing, he really should know but the answer is yes, just the program in it is different, auto's and manual are meant to be a little different hardware wise so he will need to swap out with an auto ecu to suit your car. You dont really need to buy Nistune as tuning will not be a regular thing for you, Toshi will either run an emulator or a Nistune ECU, then burn the chip and plug it into the socketed ECU he provides as a swap out.
