Since I'm the first one on after the cruise I'll make the thread, yay! Was a good day with a good turnout of 12 Z's and 1 old Falcon. A nice lesiurely drive up to springbrook marred only by my dodgy AFM cacking itself intermitently, but special thanks th Rob, Baz, Greg and Allan for doing a mini road side tech day for me A quick stop for coffee and then on to the falls for a chin wag until 12:25 and 30seconds later we where off again to the St Bernards Pub where Baz managed to get attacked by a duck cross peacock thing (weird bird) Beautiful view and Rob had his Guiness Headed off again and onto Eagle Thai for Lunch and more of a chat. All in all a throughly good day :zlove:
It was another superb Qld day, 33odd down on the Coast but a pleasant 26 up in the Hinterland. Surprisingly not a lot of Sunday drivers and those we did encounter, pulled over to let us pass. Gotta love those twisty roads, awesome straights and beaut scenery St Bernards new pup is growing rapidly and renovations continue to improve this great old pub... food looked good too but we went to Eagle Thai, an old favourite. Thanks all for coming, especially the north Brissie Zedders, MikeZ & original PSA Cassie , newbs: John & Meryl (OldFart), Barclayoni .... hope you all enjoyed the day.
Well guys whilst you were on your way up... I was called into work to fix <insert industrial electrical fault here> I'm sure you all missed me terribly, with my presence there lacking maybe rob was driving at a leisurely pace to let other people keep him in sight?
Good day We've already had our nanna naps. Almost went to sleep coming down the mountain behind another bl*&dy Suzuki 4WD. Really enjoyable - thanks to everyone for making us feel welcome. See ya next time.
You can rest assure it wasnt me!!! All the 300zx's i encontered on the Mt Cotton skid pan were holding me up most of the time!! Evil Z..ooki
Another great QLD cruiZe Rob: Thanks for organising another beaut QLD cruiZe. It was good to catch up with all the new Zedders and some of the old ones that we hadn't seen for a while. CheerZ Mike
yes was a good day it started in the carpark where we caught up with the new and the old faces then we were on our way, had a hard time tryin to keep together with all the sunday drives out today but after we got off the M1 it wasnt too bad, as we started to assend up the mountain crispy's zed didnt wanna play ball and needed some attention so while we waited i took a couple of pics and me trying to make the road ahead look interesting we were back on the go before too long, and man i love those roads up tambo the ole gurl stuck to the rd and i kept k-zed in might sights the whole time , as we goto the top where the rd splits we slowed to a crawl waiting for the rest to catch up, we got to admire the scenery. we then had a pitstop at the top once we re-grouped baz showin off ole bessy couple of other pics then we headed off to purling brooke falls only a few of us went for a walk for those that didnt here is a pic or the waterfall and as usual we kinda take over the car parks lol then it was off to get a refreshing beer mmmmmmm beer us takin over the carpark yet again no in all my time i have near seen a sight like this baz doesnt have an alcoholic drink in his hand lol few more of us well after bein refereshed needed some food at eagle thai, bit more talkin zeds and more zeds, then we went our seperate ways all in all a good day got abit warm on the way home the aircon was running flat out but the ole gurl still pulled pretty hard see yas on the next one
All 3 of us in the yella fella had a blast Particularly Zedette who does enjoy the company of her two surrogate uncles Rob and Barry. I didn't take any pics today, too busy enjoying myself. See you on the next event (Skid pan) :zlove:
What a great day Thanks for organizing another spectacular cruise Rob. It was a great drive (up the front) on the way up and Eagle Thai do an awesome curry. I can see why you keep going back. Good to see you all again and meet a few new faces. Mia and I had a great time. Best cruise we have been on in a while. Cheers Al
Bugger... no pics of my fan club aka Caitlyn No fingernail scratches in the dash from Tammy? No Zeds get left behind? I must be slipping.
another fun cruise day in sunny qld ....whooot...!!! great to catch up old-bies ( an original forum member !!), some new-bies (love your '93 zed, oldfart -john .. looks tops ..!!) and the usual batch of middle-bies .... always enjoy the springbrook run .. the replacement st bernard puppy is enormous at 7 months and a real beaut .. and the killer duck that kept annoying zedette is due for curryland, i reckon ...lol ... thanks to all for a top day .. and to rob for the usual spot on cruise .. oops .. and sauv blanc wasn't bad either .... lol ...
deffinately a great day. It was a bit dissapointing that i couldnt get my zed in time for hte cruise, but oh well, i had a blast riding in chrispys car (embarassing a few tt's). Big thanks goes out to everyone, it was deffinately good to finally put some faces to the nicknames i see all over the forum oh ps, i have a really bad sunburn from cruising with targas off all day, all part of the experience i guess
Oh yes, thanks Barry..... 'twas superb. I'll bring some to the Charddy Shack CANDU do... a must have with Asian cuisine
Looks like a fun day. However, some troubling information p ): I see two Z's with stock wheels in the pics, and both appear to be mounted incorrectly. I am pretty tired but, so I could be wrong. Front wheel here: Rear wheel on the red car on the right: :zlove:
a great day was had by us, good to meet some more ppl. didnt meet everyone unfortunately The trip down the hill from springbrook was great, had a slight whine from the passengers side somewhere, but seemed to vanish at the bottom of the hill so was good ..........just the nectarines flying all over the place was a concern. Thanks for a great day out guys, look forward to the next one.:zlove: :zlove:
