We have fine tuned the Crank Angle Sensor polishing and now offer it along side the Radiator hardpipe exchange. Pics below of before and after 2 separate Zedders items were show polished ...

He has extended the polished area on the radiator pipes to cover the flat piece that enters the block as this is visible on some Zeds, depends where your PTU and it harness sit. It adds $25 to the original cost of $135 if you need that bit done..

You can send your own pipes to be done or I have exchange pipes( all in good condition).

The CAS (crank angle sensor)comes up beautifully, quite fiddly to do with all the little corners, but the result is awesome. With the one pictured the owner send some SS screws that he was going to use with the CAS and had them polished too.
For the CAS, screws and backing plate, polishing cost is $155.00.
You need to 'hole punch' your line up mark prior to removing/sending. Turnaround is 1 week.
    Cheers,
    Caz..

I think its just him minivan, he is really good at what he does and wont half do anything... he works it in about 6 or more stages..

I too have been blown away with his work, what he does with the CAS is like art! Its such a pretty thing...looks sort of 'fluid' if you know what I mean.

I see other work he does too, Harley forks and parts, show cars bits , Turbo housings... he's a show polisher and I think thats different to a normal metal polisher.
One day I'll pull my plenum off just to get him to 'finish' it for me....

I think my fuel filter is the next thing he will have a go at, linked up with Smithy's SS Braided line setup should look good.

    Caz.. *smilie*
PS, you should see his mountainbike! Could do my makeup in the pedals! hahaha

i wish i could do my makeup in my pedals.. lol

yeah i havent seen anything like it

wonder how long it would keep that shine.. ally tarnishes quickly.. autosolling my plenum every second day.. wouldnt be so easy on the cas

    Hahahahaa..
I thought the same thing re how long will it last but my CAS has been done for over 5 weeks now and still looks exactly the same *smilie* And I live near the beach and have no pan under my Zed so it gets spray.

Rad pipes have stayed exactly the same since my engine was pulled early Feb.. I havent touched any of them.

Could the 'fine'(as in chrome like) finish have anything to do with the fact it doesnt seem to go crappy?
Or maybe the plenum is a slightly different grade alloy to the CAS and rad pipes??

I really should give him my plenum to test this theory ....if he could get the same finish on the plenum that the CAS has... now that would be sweet *wink*

He did the stock bolts on my timing cover, told me they would rust quickly as they are steel, but they still look mad... no rust yet!

    Caz..

iesshh thats some shiny stuff there....just a question did your cas come out like that in the pic caz? coz for some reason to my eye looks like its been chrome electroplated? thats very very shiny....

ye the bolts will rust over time/years...the cold will bring moisture on the surface and itll start to rust...alot of people electroplate bolts etc but then again you go to screw them on and itll chip off lol

The best thing to use to preserve

alloy from oxidising too quickly believe it or not is Mr. Sheen. It leaves a fine silicon coating that protects the metal. DinoZ also has a product that is applied to glass that I think maybe a winner to protect aluminium from oxidising. He has tried a bit on some wheels so wait and see how it goes.

Yes Chad, mine is like that too and the others he has done. It does look like chrome, but its not. None of my engine parts are coated in anything! Its just show polished by this one guy.

I love polished metal, something different about it to chrome. Maybe its the human effort involved in polishing something ordinary/raw into something you cant stop looking at thats special.

I didnt get my CAS backing plate done as I didnt know it was so easy to get out! We just did my CAS. The backing plate and screws being done makes a big difference and I will get him to do mine one day when Im out there.

He has done a few Zed CAS's now.

Well, if I ever get the chance (ie. can afford to own a second car!) I would certainly have them posted to you - looks brilliant.

I have an exchange system for the radiator pipes. I send you the polished ones and after you have swapped them over you return your unpolished pipes to me. That way there is no down time without your car!

    Hi Stu,
I did show him a plenum once but he would be too expensive I think. It would be a plenum like no other :p but would cost more than we are used to paying. He is more a specialised Show polisher, where as what we do with our plenums is general polishers work.

I have spoken to him about just polishing one to the standard of mine but until he has actually done one he is reluctant to quote..

I will get a plenum and rocker covers one day and get him to play with them when he isnt so busy.
With both Autosalon and SummerNats coming up his skills are in demand :)

He is going to do my brake calipers once these shows are over, will be interesting to see how they come up :zlove: :zlove:
    Caz.. :)
