your 100% right, there isnt a 4 seter slicktop....until now lol. i just assumed it was a seater....my bad.
Man, this is getting beyond awesome.. Well done dude, skills or what.. I have plans of something similar.. But lighter
Hardtop Roof Completed !!!!!!!!!! Only taken me close to a decade to get to this point (I told you Mr Kyne Marshall that I would eventually get there )
Looks real good man. Be nice seeing a sleek looking 2+2. Bit premature, but what colour you thinking to complement this achievement?
I have consider using Matte Red like this one >>> Just kidding. It'll be some shade of red though (no metallics or pearls) - I've yet to checkout if there is such a thing as pure red.
if you want a really RED red, try th colour "true red" from the mazda arnge of vehicles, circa 2008-2011ish...... a great and bold proper red colour https://www.google.com.au/search?q=...GMSoiAfnhIAo&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=911 note, i am not talking baout the metallic red you may have seen, this colour is pure gloss, no metallic, no pearl.
Albeit a joke, the matte red looked nice. Haha. But if you're looking for a true red, you'll end up with just a base paint with red tinter. Should look nice once done. Guy at work used pure orange on a c10 chev he had and it was just a nice solid and bold colour. Beaut part is its easy to repair unlike metallics and pearls. Good work to date mate!
I am true fan of slick tops and I thought it sad that there were no 2+2 variants. I am loving what you are doing and am really excited to see the end result.
side mirror mounts >>> I noticed my 300zx has alloy side mirror mounts so I stripped the paint and gave one a rough polish. Now for the other side. Also, need to find a nice shiny alloy mirror to fit it to replace the plastic crapola.
Great looking project! Not so much an issue with drag racing, but with track days, do you see the weight reduction causing any significant change in brake bias due to altered weight distribution? Hopefully all this work will give you great balance for mid-turn handling to help pick up 'usable' speed on the straights and give you some great lap times.
