So im hoping to get a blue LED illuminated ignition ring going gon. Currently it doesnt illuminate in my 1990 aus-spec. Its clear plastic with a bit of a yellowy old tinge to it. Just wondering do I simply buy an LED for it, or do I need a special illuminating ring only standard in later models? I see ebay sells the rings for like 15 delivered..
they come standard as far as im aware, ive got a 89 aus spec and it has the illumination, even changed it over to blue, looks good
They all did light up at some stage...the bulb probably has just blown. Rob is currently doing a GB on led's...so maybe contact him and see if he can get you a single bulb. Abraham
Had some spare bulbs from a LED kit i bought for the zed once. Pulled the ignition apart and found the bulb. Luckily I had a match in the collection of unknown leftover LED's It now lights up blue! What about keyhole ring illumination on the doors. Is there such thing>?
My Zed never had a working ignition light so a few months ago i bought one. When i took it apart to fix i found it had always had one and the globe just needed replacemant.
I recall that only all Japan spec light up. Some others do and don't. Some have a blown bulb but some haven't even been wired in from factory. In the past few months someone posted the mod the get it going in a similar thread. Unless I was digging...
