Hey guys, Just a heads up, saw a Red 300zx Z32 in the drop your car off area on a forklift at the Oxley wreckers. Red, has 18's, f40 rear wing, front mount. Not sure whats happening with it but it could be there for stripping. Marc.
Just got back from looking at it. '89 TT manual 2+0 Targa red They arent parting it out. Trying to sell it as a whole. Classed as a repairable writeoff, but car is quite straight. looks to have had a fair bit of $$$ spent on it at some stage. Paint and interior is fair, engine bay pretty tidy, with a couple of goodies on it:- *dual stage boost controller *new injector connectors *FMIC *modified bomex bar (looks like veilside without the lower lip) :vomit: *pillar gauges *s2 ptu *quite a bit of bling- balance pipe, fuel lines, IACV hardpipe, turbo outlet hardpipes etc etc etc Apparently it runs, but no compression test results. Asking $3000 for it as is. Probably a good buy, depending on motor diagnosis.
Heh, my old stomping ground. ABC used to have a good selection of parts once upon a time. However they did try and charge me $350 for a stock 300zx turbo that was seized. Be wary when leaving the driveway and turning right up the hill towards the school and oxley road. Stop at the stop sign. Coppers live up the hill with there little spy cams.... :br:
repairable write off don't forget if it is a repairable write off and you want to re register and drive it, you have to get a WOVR inspection which costs around $500 from Fowles, then a RWC then register. might not be so cheap after all that. food for thought
