Hi guys I have a 95' 2+2 auto Z32. We've owned a 81' 280ZX Turbo, 90 5spd 2+2 and a 91 auto TT all were fully modded... Almost 200 views and not a lot of dialog... I've watched this site for some time and many threads get a few views but why don't guys post a lot here? This site has some GREAT INFO and some great Z32s. It's kinda puzzling to me being a newbie to this site
I put it down to the evolution of social media. The forums that use to have a lot of dialog are now grave yards. If people have a question or want to show off their car its all over facebook.
Facebook sucks. Forums ftw. Welcome to aus300 but it's not as lively as it used to be. Rice ride btw, in the right colour. I'm also a fan of 280s. Might help if you linked the photos, I've done it for you:
What do you mean RICE ride?! Thanks on linking the photos & the color is right... My first Z32 was a pearl white and it was very pretty and the TT was a factory white. The 81' 280zx was black... Believe it or not I'm fond of the pearl white... But in the Z32 I had to go with the cleanest car in the best condition because in the USA sooooooooo many 90's sports cars are garbage because so many people messed them up trying to be Vin Diesel and Paul Walker from the Fast n Furious!!!!!!! It makes finding a nice example rarer by the months. Yeah you're correct Facebook does suck 99%
That really sucks imo because a true community of car guys getting together in these forums is priceless! Sharing info, laughs and a common bond amongst like interests is cool for a few hours a week (or day if your job really sucks or you have a car fetish LOL)!!! But it's also about the demographics of the Z owner too... Younger guys aren't as loyal long as a maturer owner typically. I look at ClubLexus.com it is a forum juggernaut because of the owners evolving with the car as the model changed. I had a SC4 from like 99 - 2005 i saw the site blossom into the huge success it is today. We communicated and reached out to make it better (I was a moderator for a while too) but we had something to grow into(like another model). I don't see many Z32 guys from the 90s still in the Z32 (i came back because it's an awesome car) and not many who owned it running to get a 350z (been with both and the Z32 is a far superior product)... What's our progression? The GTR!!! But it's styling is not sexy to many and the $100k price tag is wicked. So we move onto something else and the Facebook guy buys the Z32 And abuses it and off to the scrape yard because he can't understand it or afford it.
The steering wheel is on the wrong side. Take it back! Wouldn't mind betting the glovebox is in the wrong spot too... Seriously though, it looks fantastic.
