To change over to a crusie control wheel, is it just a matter of replacing the streering wheel center pad with one equipped with steering wheel buttons - as far as the steering wheel is concerned? I am converting my manual TT to cruise from my auto wreck. *Does the manual zed loom come pre-wired for crusie? - Should there be a plug around near the brake booster somewhere? Other than the acutator is there anything else required - ECU module or something perhaps? Thanks!
The loom should have all the connectors unless someone chopped them off as Pex discovered. Greg's got the parts you need other than the wheel: actuator, ASCD, pedal switches, pod.
You'll have to replace more than the centre pad of the steering wheel. You'll need to source all the components behind the wheel where the HICAS ring is so you have the contacts for the new cruise control buttons. Otherwise you'll have the buttons but they will do nothing...!
Yeah, I had planed to do what you are doing. Until I found the plugs missing in the engine bay. As Rob said, I have all the gear here except the steering wheel should you need it. I went with an aftermarket cruise solution
