Take your time and get things in order beforehand. Measure heaps before cutting. Your car isn't going anywhere, so have faith in steady progress. Do not falter with rushed jobs.

The bitter just ain't as bitter without the sweet :)

    where's the fun in that??

order it when you realise you dont have it.. thats why they invented express shipping!
cut it first time.. you can always get another one

Stayed back a little after work today and sorted out the brakes, clutch line, etc. Hooray, she drives!!!!!

I have to re-adjust the brake pedal before I make the journey to Andrew's tomorrow. There's not a lot of feel in the pedal till the very bottom, then in the last few mm's it's like u've ripped up a hydraulic hand brake. Those brembos almost threw me through the front window! lol

I'm pleased to announce that I took my first drive in my own Z on Friday night. First time in 5 years!

The journey was a little rough but managed to get to Andrew's place without stopping. Due to the amount of missing trim, removed this and that, the drive was very noisy and I was a little nervous but everything was fine.

The coolant temps were a little high but that was due to the standard (temporary) radiator and cable-tied thermo fan. Another very temporary item that will be rectified once the car is painted.

Andrew's going on holidays for a week (lucky bastard) so nothings going to happen to my baby for at least another 10 days or so... That'll give me time to re-order another bomex front bar and organise some rims.

    Congrats Tom , well done.

Why do you have to "re-order" another bar, what happened to the first one??

    Cheers

Long story, but my supplier is out of stock and it'll be at least 6 weeks to get the one I paid for in.... I'm just going to buy another one and wait and see.

True that... Hint taken... I'll speak to you later this week.
