Not sure how this winter is going to shape up...but nonetheless, thought i'd put this out there. I'm moving on the 12th of June into a 3 bedroom house with a nice big front and backyard. Decided i'll likely have my zed for a little while yet so if anybody would be interested, you're all welcome to come park in my yard and i'll cook up a storm (note: storm will likely consist of meat, bread and salad). No idea on dates yet, gotta get settled first, have the mandatory housewarming party etc. Also going on holidays mid July. So maybe early July or later on? I have no paved areas but we can do most things on the lawn such as interior stuff and engine bay things. Now, the catch is that I don't live in Melbourne. In fact, I live past Philip Island. It's not that long of a drive, really. Under an hour from Cranbourne. If you want to look it up on google maps, the town is 'Dalyston'. So yeah just thought i'd test the waters and see who's actually willing to make the hike haha cheers
ps: should also mention that bbq would be free like Billy's. Damn you Ryan... you must be off in a villa in Spain by now with all the pizza-profit!
yeah i'll come down for a drive. i finish exams on 30th june, winton track day is on 4th. so any time after that would be good. saturday would be better.
Good to see a bit of interest. Obviously yeah this is only an EOI to see if anybody is happy with the distance first up. Can't set a solid date til I know how busy I/everyone else will be. May not end up being til August or September yet but we shall see. If it ended up dragging out until Spring then I'd look into drawing up a bit of a cruise and photoshoot location in the area, maybe around some of the cliffs. But anyway, want to know how many are keen and then start organising from there. :zlove:
Id be keen for a drive, I cant really let you know in advance if Im coming I'll just show up on the day
haha pizza profit count me in evan. i've no problem with the distance, it's long, straight and boring but don't be tempted to give it some as the route down to philip island has a lot of speed cameras.
indeed it does. I was done doing a touch over 100 somewhere between grantville and just before cranbourne. Route is fine otherwise, they are doing some road works to the Bass Hwy (duplication of lanes) so it slows down to 60 in places but still under an hour drive to Cranbourne.
Hmmm I could be keen but it's 127km from my place... Would have to run it past the missus first. If it came down to it - would you be willing fight her?
And you wonder what I went through to get to Ryan's last tech day! He lives north north north Melbourne suburbs Yes i'lll fight her I guess, if I must...
i would love to come if anyone wants to give me a lift!!!!...and ill bring what ever pizza profits i have and shout pizzas...set a date...i would love to cruise before i go over seas (4/7) but if not ill be back on the 20/7...but yeah im pretty free from the 9/6 till the 4/7 Ryan PS: ev has the best zed commitment in the whole zed community PSS: forgot to add the saturdays are no good for me(really hate that!) BTW MY PIZZA PROFITS = $0 hehe
If anyone is coming from up that way i'm sure they'll give you a lift. Best zed commitment? Me? No pizzas, they don't cook 'em during the day down here. So bbq it shall be. Also need to buy a bbq...
I'll do my best to make it down for this too, as with most depends on the date and I'll have to let you know much closer to the time.
"oh gee Evan, you love living so far away from civilisation...gosh past Coronet Bay! Bass Hwy?? ... the ****?" haha. But yes free food and you're THERE
my two favourite words in one sentence, "free" and "food"!!!! while we're down there we can all wash our cars with your garden hose coz the water restictions aren't so bad in 'woop-woop'.
haha oh they're still pretty bad. I think we're i'm moving is permanent stage 3 or 4? Can't remember. If no, we can drive down on the beach and through the ocean. That ought to clean it up. Also I have a request. NO excels! Silver TT's on the other hand are fine
