Ok guys & girls there are many threads on gagues here , but what brands give the best bang for your buck.
Temperature gagues accuracy is a must , so any that have checked with consult and read the same would be appreciated.

I have a Speco metre gague that is shit , at 86 deg ecu temp, it reads about 93 deg.( given me a few heart attacks so far)

So give me some advice guys.

    Cheers

I'm using three of the Ozgauge items(Oil press.,Water Temp and Boost) and couldn't be happier. They are good units IMHO.

I've got autometer gauges in my car and for a couple of weeks had a techtom in the car as well to check the accuracy of the temp gauge. It was within a degree almost all the time. The only time it was fractionally off was when the temp was falling. The gauge was a little slower to fall then the actual temp on the digital readout, but it was only by a couple of degrees and only for about 30 to 40 seconds.

I'm looking into a set of autometer gauges, their 'z' series offer all that I want and they would blend nicely with the interior, however most of them are measured in american units like fahrenheit. Anyone use temp gauges in fahrenheit? I always relate to temp in celcius, i'd end up seeing say... 150 degrees F on the gauge and have to convert that to celcius in my head for me to be able to relate to it. Anyone feel the same?
Sorry to hijack, autometer gets my vote, have a ultra-lite fuel pressure gauge by them and it seems to be on the ball and responsive.

I have been agonizing over guages for the racing car and gave up and bought this.

Uses the same sensors as the engine and gets the data for those from the MOTEC via CAN bus.

    Expensive but quite simple.

I have some brand new guages I got with the racing car I am not going to use if you are interested.

Can I just check that the Ozgauge ones are the Autogauge items? Cos it sounds like they custom make them, but the pictures that they have are of Autogauge and Autogauge can be found almost anywhere.
I heard that they weren't too accurate, but I'm seriously considering getting a set of them now...Either those or the Saber set.

Is that the blue set? Did you buy a gauge holder? Or are they just side by side?

Lowzx , its installed in the top hardpipe adapter with a good earth wire going to the manifold.
The other thing that tics me is if you put a blue LED in there , (like i have in all gagues)you cant see the needle much as its not lit.

Seriously looking at the ones Pexed and Chili are using ,they look great too!!

    Cheers
