hi guys, saw this complete exhuast system on ebay for sale http://cgi.ebay.com.au/300ZX-Z32-ST...Car_Parts_Accessories?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 it all reads pretty well has anyone had one fitted, or know of anyone, or heard much about them? also, i read the tech section on exhuasts - how hard would it be to fit?? cheers
if what he says is true, then you just need to get some cats welded on and bolt the whole system up. the hardest bit would have to be removing the stock dumps but once their off, its easy sailing.
If you do decide to buy and install this, please let me know how it goes. Am sorta considering this atm pending feedback from other members. MoulaZX
That looks like a nice system my system cost me about $2500 and the mufflers that came with the car are worth $500 so thats a $3000 system and it looks prety much the same as that the dumps and mufflers are a little different but if I saw that back in the day I would have snaped it up.
never know untill its installed some1 has to install it and give a review or no1 is ever going to know what it does.. i am yet to see a company talk down their own product..
yeah, will do. probably get this system within the next six wks (3 paychecks or so lol) so will post how it goes cheers
If you have a 2+2... ...I'd get this exhaust. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-96-Nissan-300ZX-2-2-Non-Turbo-Catback-Exhaust-System_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a543Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a0Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem220323297571QQitemZ220323297571QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories It says for non turbo but that's because 2+2's in the USA are NA. Pretty sure it will fit a TT 2+2. Look familiar? Egg
Custom system in mild steel would be the go as a cheaper alternative imo, stainless is overrated. This would still do the trick though I'm sure...
Hey Kris I bought this exhaust about 6 months ago the full turbo back version from that particular ebay seller. The exhaust was about 2 inches too short and sat under the rear bar on my 2 seater so I had to get the pipe extended when I fitted magnaflow highflow cats. It was beginning to stain the rear bar real bad and needed to be done. You will need the 2.5" round (not oval) cats. The same guys sells these and i bought them off him too. Its a pretty quiet exhaust but opens up nicely when you boot it. That is what I like about it. There is minimal resonating of the exhaust in the cabin which is also a bonus due to the included resonators. You will also need to install exhaust hangers to underbody of the car. A bit of work needs to be done to the exhaust and all up it cost me close to 2k. But well worth it. Exhaust flow is great and I feel like I can boost it easily now. Power gains were considerable noticed too. I will try and get a clip up the exhaust tone if you like Regards Civ
Fitting Aside from I have already told you, removing and installing of the dump pipes was a pain in the ass but the rest was straight froward. It just needs work done to it to get it up to scratch Civ
You are probably right after the manipulation and installation of high flow cats etc.. Mine is pretty much a custom exhaust now because of the modifications that needed to be made.. Civ
The best way to go about it in my opinion is to source your own mufflers and cats yourself, then find a shop willing to do the piping alone. You'll save a stack of money doing it this way, I got a magnaflow cat some $100 less from ebay than what any shop could do for me. And since you guys need two that'll add up real fast when you count the savings to be had on sourcing your own mufflers aswell. You dont need stainless either, unless you polish it every single day it'll eventually look dull anyway. Mild steel lasts years, the stock system I pulled off my 89T was rusted to shit but it had no holes and that's 20 years old. You could pull it off, paint it silver, and you wouldn't even know until the paint burned off that is! lol
