climate control isnt working, i bought a new unit to replace it, still no change, when i took the car to an auto electrician he didnt have a clue but could tell me power was getting there, also the hazard lights still work, and so does the pod that controls my lights etc, anyone have any idea? im real fed up
To clarify; you mean the CC pod doesn't work? Does it light up, show ambient temp, or if that is working, activating the control produces no cold air?
what the old man is trying to say is to check the service manual - ha section (heater and air cond) on page 115. bulb could also be gone. out of curiosity, could you check if your side mirror controls are working?
The air con pod power is switched on when the key is in position one, there is a relay in the rear of the fuse board located in the drivers footwell that supplies power to a grid block of fuses, water can get down the back of the fuse box and cause corrossion, it is a bigger problem here in the UK ie rain , rain ,rain but even when washing the car it gets in. If it is the fuse box it will need replacing or an alternative power supply wired in, also and just as likely check the connector on the ignition switch it can sometimes work its way out and causes a similar issue.
