What colours do you fellows think would compliment best? I always have liked the stealth look, which is why I decided to go with black rims on a Grey 300. BUT, there is something about Yellow or White calipers on dark (er) cars which I also really like & they may accent it well. Just to give an idea, I currently sprayed them with a fresh coat (s) of Silver - which is what they were originally, but feel they could look a lot nicer another colour, as the ones mentioned above..? Open to suggestions for sure. Cheers, Mike
not white....too many colours in it if you do that...make the writing black. or black outline and yellow fill
yep, try and keep the colours to a minimum. ie. use a max of about 3 colours across the car...too many colours will wreak the 'clean' look. good luck
Absolutely, that's an excellent point, it should be made into a rule come to think of it! Cheers, Mike
If it where my car i would paint the calipers the SAME colour as the car and paint the lettering bright red .(looks good if running 18's) Regards Trev
lmaooooooooo,oh look theres a set of yellow brake calipers coming down the road ,oh its got a 300zx connected to it ,you idiot lol paint the calipers the same colour as the car and then polish the lettering imo,a nice zed only needs the calipers as an accent, crap zeds need them as a focal point :zlove: If you want to have them as the main focus,go get brembos,at least that is something worthwhile to show off
I think keep it subtle, and definitely limit the colours to 3 max. I have a grey zed too and was thinking of using blue as a highlight (blue calipers with white writing(?), blue timing covers, throttle cable cover, vacc hoses, etc) I think red looks great too, but personally i prefer blue. One day I'd love to do a full respray in blue (similar colour to benny c or ed300zx) so this would work well with that too.
Haha LOL i didnt mean that! I was just saying to make an overall plan for what you want with your car. Rather than just doing lots of little mods and changes that don't suit each other. I have already decided that I'd love to do a blue respray one day (when funds permit it), so it wouldn't hurt to do the engine bay (and calipers, etc) with that overall plan in mind.
