hey everyone, my car for some reason sounds like its burping sorta, like wen im at the back of the car its kinda like poping air, sounds like air is coming out, then stops and builds up and comes out all at once again, the weird thing is, it does it and then the engine shakes a little bit as well.
i checked all of my connectors and injector plugs, this problem has been ongoing for some time now and i really want to get to the bottom of it.
i made a post about a similar problem but they has pretty much been resolved. so now this one :( sorry if use dont understand what i mean, its hard to explain, ill get a vid on youtube soon. cheers

Do you mean dropping a cylinder, back-firing? Only at idle, engine hot or cold?

    More info req'd please?

mmmm, im going to give it a service and a tune as i havnt for a bit, and then ill see how it goes, i fixed that hose mitchov, pulled the thottle bodies off and just replaced it. so its all good now :D

its not a cylinder dropping out, i would say it would need a service and tune, i just cleaned a few of my corroded plugs and stuff, now its running alot better.

im gonna clean my CAS connection and then do a service/tune and hopefully it solves the issue, cause its not back/miss firing, just little burbs when idoling or holding steady rev threw revs 2.5-3k.

could this be a vac leak? cheers

Yeah is it like a cylinder half drops out. My car is doing it to. It could be anything. Like CAS PTU COILPACK INJECTORS blah blah blah. Mine only does it at idle.

yea thats it man, only like half of a cylinder drops out! how do you clean ur coilpacks? cause i cant seem to find this anywere, i put more tension on the springs for a better connection but is there a way to clean them? i will service/tune it soon n see how it goes,

also mine does it on idol, but like does it for 20 secs then revs go back up a tiny bit and then its fine for 30 secs, then revs drop a tiny tiny bit then it does it again. also does it in between 2.5-3k rev range when i hold it in the same spot, yet when i floor it, the car just goes and ignores it. ??? im so confused!!!

You can clean the contact on the coilpack. remove the coilpack and take off the rubber bit at the bottom. There will be a graphite (i think it's graphite, not 100% sure) tip at the bottom. Use some fine emery or sand paper to clean up the tip and expose a new surface.
sounds to me like a vac leak also, have you done a vac leak test (intake pressure test)?

what is meant by 'service/tune'??? Fixing a problem by getting a 'service/tune' doesn't help anyone man. If you clean the MAF and CAS connectors, then found the problem went away, then good. But i have no idea what your 'service/tune' entailed.

Can you actually clean the cas? I would say it would be spark or faulty wiring.

I think he meant the CAS wiring - corroded connectors have been the cause of many problems.
