As my clutch was slipping under heavy load, decided to change to XTREME clutch with higher clamping force of approx 1250kg's. At same time decided to go to a lightened flywheel After having some hassles removing my custom dumps, the rest is pretty straight forward. The existing clutch plate was a bit sad, but flywheel is still in good condition. New clutch/flywheel installed ready for gearbox to go back in. Many thanks to Lindsay at Z Shop for the use of the hoist and great assistance from Marek and his son Phil. During the afternoon Vincent called in with his new Zed which can only be described as an absolute monster, look forward to further developments there. Gradually getting some "bling" going in my engine bay. Tony
You broke the first rule of clutch replacement! Why dont you have any bloody knuckles? Nice looking clutch kit... shame you cant see it's "bling"...
Engine bay looks great Tony... Custom dumps, do you have aftermarket turbos? Clutch was slipping, how much power is your Z making? Be interested to know how this clutch holds up, so keep us posted. Jono
Haha I didn't notice that Ron! What the f*#k is going on haha? I didn't search or anything, it came up on the home page
Geez! Am I glad I resisted the urge to point this out about 10 mins ago? We could have been mid way into WW III by now.
yea its bumped up because i posted in it ealier with a question regarding clutches. the post isnt there anymore, ah well, i sorted it anyway. Pat
I talk to Tony fairly regularly He has a few issues with his clutch which means it is about to come out in a week or so. Something has come adrift. Hopefully easily fixed. He did say he hates the lightened flywheel, so he is going back to the stock one.
