lol what i like is everyone forgets the most important aspect of a Z.... LABOUR CHARGES... Parts are not the killer...its labour. Everything just about is an engine pull out. (when you want over 250rwkw its an engine out). For 250rwkw....you will need: full 2.75" turbo back zorst system, (1500 - 2000 fitted) ECU (1500 fitted and tuned) POD filter (150-250 fitted) aftermarket racing clutch (1500 fitted) (if manual) Bigger sidemounts (1000-1500 fitted) U/D pulley (300 fitted) Boost controller (1000-1500 fitted @ 15-17psi) That wil get you to 250rwkw. I done it so i know it Thats my opinion, you all with flame suits who have their own opinions suck my balls, and ill be happy to race you all for pink slips on the day of GOR cruise kthnx. :nono: :lame:
I disagree... An after market ECU is not required, nor is a under drive pulley. You can also get boost controllers a lot cheaper. You can make 250rwkw without pulling the engine. I agree, exhaust, pod filter, and a re-map of the (stock) ECU is required. Larger SMIC, or FMIC is advised, as well as a adjustable fuel pressure regulator if you are going to up the boost more than approx 15psi. I know, I've done it I'd be happy to race you on the track once my Z is finished. Phillip Island would be my preference BTW: My balls are shaven, so you won't have to worry about getting hair stuck in your teeth.
imo I could have made 250rwkw with dumps, high flow cats, smics and 16psi+tune... or it would have been pretty close anyway i miss my zed!!! lol i miss having power
do you believe what your saying? must have stupid stamped on your forehead if your prepared to pay such prices mine dumps/front $200 cats $270 for pair caback $200 LABOUR $300 ecu - chipped and dyno tuned $500 pod filter $70 - install $0 FMIC $550 when they only just started coming out - install $0 clutch already fitted no u/d pulley boost controller $30 - fitted $0 that got me 231rwkw on a dyno that had a stock s15 turbo make 105rwkw, which are meant to do about 130-140rwkw, so do the math. (s13 made 95rwkw, and tuned skylines hitting 170-180max)
Boost, a bajillion tons of a boost and whatever you need to support it... The secret to building all turbo cars!
omg im sorry but that was funny but seriously, zductive is right....on the cheap side you can do it for that easy.....
If you have no clue on how to spell, i suggest going back to school and completing your VCE/HSC or visiting www.dictionary.com . I know its a big ask but could you PLEASE stop spelling like a 15 year old school girl on msn. Thanks a bunch :zlove: Also, another forum? I believe this forum is primarily a place where we talk about our beloved :zlove:. If i wanted to read crap jokes i would pick the many pages that google sources for me
ICER WHAT ARE U ON your a discrace .... missleading this bloke.. "$250 for a pod installed".. :lame: as far as i know most of these simple mods to get 250ish kw can be done by having a basic tool kit and following the tech section. you should only need to pay an exhaust bloke to weld up the new system and pay somebody to ROM your ECU. Back on the TOPIC... I agree with most of the blokes here.. go for it mate get your 250kw its been done before just speak to the right ppl round here Cheers Frank
Azzurro, i concur! Icer seems to have a little too much cash with limited amounts of brain. I guess that what happens when you get lyndsay to work on your car though.
Hmmmm $12 boost jets. $600 catback exhaust. $200~ tune from karl. $550 ebay sidemounts. $100 pod filter. $7 sticker kit. Itwould have to be colse enough to 250~ more like 220-230.
$7 sticker kit? = 10rwkw at least I have 218rwkw on stock auto TT with minor mods: Cat back Pod Filter UD pulley Chipped ECU Running @ 14.3 psi on $2 boost jets when dynoed.
Icer if you paid those prices you've just listed you have been ripped very badly my friend! But that what happens if you go too the Z-Shop or Nissport... :nono:
Did you not race a forum member with a crapload less mods and money spent on his zed and he schooled you?
