Hey guys, just wondering what you guys have done in regards to audio setups in your zs? Looking for ideas or photos in regard to speaker setup, and apparel (neons, decals, z carpet logos etc. I have 2 6 by 9s and a sub and amp. unsure where to put them, want it looking good. Any help greatly appreciated:biggrin:
I have a setup which sounds great and also still retains useability of the boot. Pics Here It has front 6' splits, rear 4x6 plate splits and a 10' sub all running off the rear amp. I now have a strut bar across the top of the amp which is all shiny. I had some good 6x9`s but got rid of them because they give the noise but not the sound. Theres lots of ideas going around. Goodluck.
this is mine... photo's not the best as I wasnt specifically photographing my setup, but you get the idea. I like simplicity. 10 inch Boston Acoustics sub in the back, custom moulded to hatch interior. This allows me to use my boot, and also fit my targa's. My 2 alpine amps sit on my rear parcel shelf. All the wiring is hidden, and I made a cover to sit around the amps. At the front I have 6.5 inch alpine splits, and in the rear I have small 5x9inch Boston Acoustic speakers, all in the stock locations. Both doors have all the service holes filled up, and completely dynamatted. The entire hatch area is also entirely dynamatted. The dynamatting and service hole filling is essential for a great sounding setup in my opinion, as it dramatically increases the mid bass. You can spend a shit load of cash on good equipment, but if the install is not done properley, it will sound worse when compared to a cheaper system with a proper, thought out install. All this is driven by my trusty Alpine CDA-9855 head unit. Cheers
... 1. i am not a dude...:bash: 2. i searched but wanted photos and ideas from forum members. 3. Thanks to anyone that hepled
I used to have a big pioneer sub in a nice box in the boot, and the amp was put behind the drivers seat. But car got broken into and everything stolen. Now for my next car I'm looking at a much more discreet setup. Probably something involving a false floor and shallow-mount subwoofers.
theres no point in putting 6x9's if your putting in a sub, you get phase cancellation and there are very few good sounding 6x9's.
currently working on my setup atm, fibreglassing the entire boot as iv always wanted to do it. Two subs will be near the back of the boot and there will be three amps and a capacitor displayed behind the seats. havnt done much yet but getting there
theres wire mesh over the mdf box molded to make the shape, then cloth sheet over the top which was hardened with resin, then once dried fibreglass layed over the top, once all dried up fibreglass pops straight out
i believe i believe there is a place in freo that install subs into seats mate of mine has a rex and got it done, just a run of the mill 12" apparently the gf loves it
hey bud see my set up in........ Hey bud u can see my set up in my garage on the forum, I have 6x9 and a sub and it sounds very goood. cheers ben:zlove:
