Hi Guys, Thinking of selling my NA to buy a TT. I'd like to have it modded so that it's got between 240 and 300 rwkw so I was wondering if the standard manual and auto transmissions can handle that amount of power happily or do they need to be modified too. If they do need to be modified can someone tell me what's got to be done to each one respectively and the approximate cost please.Also anyone selling a nice quality 4 seater TT, PM me. Both will handle the power you are chasing. To ensure the auto will last, be sure to fit an external oil cooler and have the valve body modified which will give better lubrication to the planetary gears and also make shifts a lot crisper.
Same Both are same internally and I used a NA box in my zed race car for years with no problem with up to 456rwkw and big launches at the drags with over 6000rpm using drag tyres. I run a single plate clutch though nto a twin ortripple plate gear smasher, and I run a blend of Redline Shockproof oil which handles high temps and loads and probably helps a bit.
Auto from the NA are diff from Auto in the TT. The TT auto is stronger, so if you're going auto get the TT one.
Gearbox or Tranny Sorry if I confused I was talking gear box as in manual transmission if auto then zedtt is very different and stronger than na.
