Well I am on the home straight !!! Most of the interior is in. I just have to battle with the sound system now. Had one set back. I cant find my damn Nismo gear knob !! I have ripped the house apart. I am sure its here somewhere. I am missing a few parts. Maybe some-one can help. I need the plastic heater vent that goes across and under the steering column and ends at the door vent on the side of the dash. (drivers side). I cant find tha bastard anywhere!! The pics don't do the upholstery justice. It looks 10 times better in the flesh. I also decided I am going to sell the Wings West front Bar and buy the Stillen one. If anyone wants it please send me a PM. Hmmm the computer has gone to sh!t. I will post the pics after I reboot. I cant copy the text out of the post.
Bloody cable is being a bitch tonight. So slow. Some dork is probably downloading war and peace up the road. Pics.
Nice looking, I quite like that boot layout... think it's what I'm going to do with mine (I've been wondering for a while what I will do) The red vinyl on the door air con vents seems a bit strong adjacent to the softer red trim... What do you think GJ? You like it that way? It matches the paint-colour well, but your red on the interior is a softer red....
That does look superb Graham. The 2k style red stitching does wonders. To be critical I agree with Mattz about the red vents. That said does the photo bring out the red more than in reality?
You cant really see it but the steering wheel has been releathered and is red stitched as well, as is the Nismo gear knob that I just found in a box. The red vents and the upholstery where already painted/recovered by Smurf before I got the car. I could have redone the vents but they actually look quite good in the flesh. After It is finished. All the upholstery needs to be steam cleaned. It has taken on a bit of a milky appearance because of the time it spent open when it was crashed. The colour should be more vibrant after that is done. Some of the black is looking a bit dirty. The carpet, behind the seats, the seats etc all needs to be washed. There is a limit to how good a vacuum cleaner can do. On the whole the entire concept is really nice. The pics dont do it justice.
To everyone who PM'd me about the bar. I will find out how much the Stillen one is tomorrow. That will be what I want for the WW bar. I will post in the FS section and first in will get it. You will have to arrange your own freight. I will box it up for you though. z
Stitching on the wheel shows up quite clearly in the first piccie, once you know to look for it. Matches the upholstery quite nicely. Have you found a better way to attach the rear wing other than me holding it?
There will be dust dirt in them seats Graham so get the air gun onto them and give them a blast first and see what they look like before you do a steam clean just to remove the loose dirt dust etc Looking good mate as what Stu said we might have that duct here for you
looks nice mate, funny though it reminds me of perth transport fabric on their older trains / busses haha no offence still looks good mate *thumbs up*
Looks awesome Graham , I'll give some fair waring in saying you are gunna have a lot of squeeks and rattles to sort out after the extensive work you've done , somethings gotta be loose
