And learn from my mistake! My plastic corolla came with big AP's and fancy Alcon rotors. The previous owner mainly used the car for trackdays and had some aggressive pads on it. I've driven it for a few thousand k's on the street and have chewed through a set of rotors which are $1000 just for the fronts I thought 2 pieces were supposed to be cheaper in the long run Get suitable pads for what you use it for...
I went for this type :br: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bendix-F...+Turbo&hash=item23802d0be1:g:mcMAAOSwax5Yv2wu Any one else try the above ? :rolleyes2: :br::zlove:
PS, If I told you that I also use Bendix Ultimate on a VT Commodore wagon would you feel better about your choice?
Further to that, A1RMs are fairly rubbish for track work. You'll get maybe a day out of them, they're incredibly soft. Project Mu HC800 all the way.
I used to use the A1RM's...They were pretty brutal on the rotors, and disintegrated under sustained heat, but my initial impressions where good for street use. I use Hawk now anyhow, haven't tracked them, but so far they're pretty good.
I've got A1RMs really good street pad for reasonable money. Put them on my VE SS too, Huge improvement over stock setup notorious for pooh stopping power
Huh, I have them on the rear and have done track and pretty aggressive mountain work with them, should probably check if they're ok. Pretty sure they did start howling at one point although possible that was the fronts.
