Lets start from the beginning. Most people who know me on this forum or have seen my Zed in real life or pics know how much I look after the paint work. Like all of you it's my pride and joy and I have had the zed for 10 years now. Last week I left the Zed out of cover for one hour... What I returned to was something that would put a tear to any Zedders eye... I saw a massive crap on the bonnet on the car and this was pretty annoying... but upon hosing it off I got to see what really happened... So in less than a hour this bush turkey saw itself in the reflection of my car and basically went to town on 5 panels The bonnet was the worst which you can see above however there is water over some of the scratches. Lots of thoughts running through my mind of needing to do a complete respray, the costs involved and a general sense of wanting to massacre all bush turkeys came flooding in. I showed Rory Phillips (yes another Rory -) the damage and he asked to take a look at it. Rory is a professional detailer and was up for the challenge to get out the scratches his way. One week later I was booked in and I have to say I am literally lost for words. I have never seen paintwork look this good... Some 50/50 shots below: Today I went to pick it up and I was more than impressed with the results. On my way home I stopped by an industrial area to grab some pics/videos of my zed back with the paintwork it deserves. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with this. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to show their zed some love to get in touch with Rory Phillips (QLD). Enjoy the video below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGdYGa1HHMY ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Wow.. Thats some great work on the paint. I think I would have cried if I had seen that done to my car. Then when the rage set in I would have attacked the bush turkey species with any blunt or sharp instrument I could find. But good to see its all fixed
I was in Niall's workshop when his brother was doing the work,,,,,, man the guy is fastidious as. Took his time, taper up small sections at a time and worked his magic. It looks much better close up.
Looks brilliant in the video Rory, can't wait to see it in the flesh! Glad you had a good result, but damn I can imagine how angry you must have been when you first saw it after the turkey screwed it over....... :O
Yep. Summed it up perfectly Renzed. I was in complete shock at the damage. Happy to see the finished product. WOW.
