Hi all, I am brand new to the forum, I live in Missoula, Montana, which is a long way from Oz but I am desperately looking for a discontinued part and Nissan USA is completely out. So I thought I would try to see if it was still in stock elsewhere. I am specifically looking for a Left-hand recirc valve for my 1993 300zx TT. Part number 14483-40P05. If anyone has the website for any Australian Nissan parts vendors, I can take it from there. Or if you know where I can find one of these, that would be awesome. Thanks, Mark
Hi Mark, As TT's were never sold new in Australia by Nissan, its extremely unlikely they would keep them in stock. If I get a chance latter today, I will make a call on your behalf.
Hi Mark I'd be looking at secondhand if I were you, there will be plenty around SH & you should be able to source some with relatively low miles on them.
I thought I had searched everyone's website- and even called Z1 and Concept Z. But I placed an order online, and now am just waiting for the email that says "Sorry, we're out of stock". Hope not, but I have had 4 orders cancelled after trying to buy this part. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for finding that!
Got the phone call from Concept Z, they are out of stock, the part showing up on the website is an obsolete page.
Sorry... Sorry that lead nowhere Mark. Another couple of avenues. 1. Send a PM to this forum member : mmarschall : he usually has a few Z wrecks and is a very helpful forum member. 2. I know that here in Aus, a couple of Nissan dealers will readily get parts in from Japan, but of course, there's a premium price to pay (like madcow suggested) and often a bit of a wait. I will PM you the contact details at the Nissan dealer that helped me with a couple of parts a while ago. He was really helpful. But you will need to be able to give him all of your vehicle details in order to accurately assist etc. (He will ask for everything on your vehicle data plate etc, in addition to the part number and description of the part you need). Perhaps another long shot, so apologies in advance if this does not help.
It's a long shot but speak with the guys at courtesyparts.com, they sourced a new tailshaft for me when they didn't have stock for it.
What did that cost you?? Also, why? Can just have a local place make you one. And back to the issue at hand, aren't there rebuild kits available for hte stock recircs? Can't be that hard to find a OEM second hand one kicking around the states with everyone pulling them off for fully sic BOV's.
$741 US delivered Nissan Australia quoted me $1600 , why? Because I want to keep the car stock, happy to pay a premium for oem parts.
Was also going to suggest Courtesy Parts, found some good stuff through them over the years...... and it's listed as available (though uncategorised, so check it's definitely the correct part): http://www.courtesyparts.com/valve-reci-p-253512.html
I looked at courtesy parts for my recent orders, they were a little cheaper on some of the parts, but 3 times more expensive on the freight.
