Engine connectors - list

Once you remove all the crap (AIVs, EGR, etc), how many plugs are there going to the engine alone?

Coil packs x 6
Injectors x 6
O2 sensors x 2
VCT x 2
Fuel temp sensor
Coolant temp sensors x 2
CAS
TPS x 2
Idle control x 3
PTU x 2

Have I missed anything?

Air cond. switch wire x1
alternator x1 (plus charge wire)
What about connectors to the gearbow (auto) speed sensor

Alternator harness connects to body loom and is totally separate from engine loom

 

Waste gate solenoids x2
Oil pressure sensor

 

Oil pressure sensor also runs through body harness IIRC

Waste gate solenoids comes under "removed all the crap" (bypassed by an EBC)

 

That puts me out.
I was going by the wires, one needs to disconnect to get an engine out.

 

earth eyelets... not technically a connector though.

Are you taking stock to buy new are you?

Pretty much; I cannibalised my OEM harness today and pulled out all the connections to the body harness/fuse box as well as the healthy connectors that I've already replaced. Need to do an order for the remainining before making up the new harness.
