Hi guys, I have a TT zed, and the HICAS has been completely removed, apart from in the rear subframe where it is locked. All the lines have been deleted, and the PS pump modified. My HICAS light is always on, so I'm thinking about just pulling the bulb out. Is there any reason why I should keep it? Or any reason why I shouldn't pull it out? Cheers, Logan.
Sweet as, I'm getting sick of looking at it.. I was getting sick of looking at the battery light, door light and HICAS light.. Now its just the HICAS one left.
Yeah you lose your low level warning, but if the light's on non stop then it's no good to you anyway...
Lol, I was taking the piss. Of course crushing the bulb won't affect it. It was the only bs thing I could think of remotely believable as the hicas and PS are connected. Logan, sorry man, was just joking.
Cant you jump the wire to turn off the bulb at the connector in the bay? Why delete the light completely if it can still work for the low fluid level? Just a thought offhand ..............
You can disconnect plug at hicas computer next to ecu n keep the bulb so you still get low fluid warning
I thought the unit was in the back? Next to the ECU ? I thought the HICAS Control Unit was in behind the back seat wheras the ECU is under the passenger side floor? Maybe I am losing the plot after all You should be able to remove the HICAS relay (near the HICAS Unit - :rofl and it should deactivate the light but keep it working for the fluid level - this is probably a better way to do it electrically speaking.
