    Hey guys,

Just wondering if I could please have some feedback from some people running the aforementioned clutch?

I have read previous threads but want to see how people are getting on down the track and if there are any cons to the solid 6 puck design etc.

    Any and all feedback welcome!

You be crazy to would buy a solid centre 6 puck clutch and use it on the road,

Z1 clutches are quite good. The organic plate I had was really nice,

I have the stage 4. Value for money is outstanding and driveability is good for the style it is, even in stop start traffic.

Stock flywheel helps I am sure.

I know when buying the F1 clutches, if you have the lightened flywheel included the shipping goes through the roof and I can also understand driving with it would be a PITA because the engagement would be harsher, but how much more responsive is the engine?

I personally prefer a heavier flywheel over a lightened fly.

Tekky, i would go for a Z1 clutch but funds are something of an issue at the moment and with the Aussie dollar the way it is and the price of shipping from the US, it was just a little out there.

I had read good things on the F1 gear and have driven the sprung version of the 6 puck before which still took some getting used to before bedding in but once used to it, it wasnt too bad.

After reading Mikes post, I'm prepared to give it a go considering the price. The car will also be used as a weekender and for the drags so I really would like something with a little bite. Will also be using the stock fly.

    Order placed!

    Cheers for the comments guys!

The stage 3 will still bite just as hard when dropped, they run the same pressure plate. I daily my stage 3, been to the drags many times with it. So far it has 30,000km on it and going well.

Also i suggest you buy from : http://axidworks.com/ : Its where i bought mine and is cheaper than anywhere else. I paid $237AUD for my NA stage 3, delivered to my door.

Postage is the killer on the F1 clutch kits, ended up just buying a Competition clutch kit which was cheaper than the F1 clutch + delivery, sent you a text as well :)

    100%.

Haven't had an F1 clutch but comparing oem flywheel and 4.7kg flywheel back to back on the same 6 button clutch is night and day. Stock fly is so much smoother and quieter. I think this area is often overlooked when comparing clutch "feel" between full face and six button.

The harness of a puk clutch... are you guys just refferring to the bite? I'm running and exedy 5 puk button clutch and it took some getting used to but other than that works great.

It is a bit on or off - doesn't like to be slipped otherwise it will shudder, don't think I'd like it in a daily stop start traffic but for a weekender it's fine.

I have an f1 stage 2 I think, I track it quite often and I haven't had any problems, wish it would have a bit more bite sometimes but definitely liveable. I'm sure what you have purchased is fine

I have an F1 S2 (Organic sprung) and that is perfectly adequate and dirveable everywhere altho a little noisy when hot and stinks even after just moderate hillstarts.
I have a F1 S3 (6 button sprung) in another car and its a complete pain in the arse in traffic and is coming out of the car and into the rubbish bin as soon as my hoist is in action.

    absolutely loved mine.
had its run in stage and then it had a hell of a life.

I have the stage 4 with the lightened flywheel. never missed a beat, was a bit of a prick in city driving but I loved the challenge. on the highways, dear god it loved a good kick ;)
