I am thinking of buying this full key lock kit from ConceptZ: http://www.conceptzperformance.com/...Car_Type=NIS300&UID=2013032604382514.2.24.115 Has anybody bought this kit, does it fit RHD or have you had any trouble fitting it? Thanx in advance guys.:zlove:
do you really need targa locks? i have all of which you seek minus the keys and the odd connectors on the doors? you only need the latch mechanism and the plastic bit thats prone to breaking.
Thanx for the offer but I like to replace the whole lot with brand new and the idea of Targa locks is something I would like to try.
Should work since the ignition barrels are on the same side of the steering column. Plastic surround might not fit properly or need modification though as the release button looks to be in a different place. Door barrels look like they have extra wiring for the illumination function but you can probably remove that. Awful lot of money to pay for a lock set though, you should be able to pick a good set up off an aus spec wreck for not much more than 100 bucks.
Its not really expensive when you think about it. BRAND NEW keys, locks, and the secruity that no one else could have a spare key lying around
There's only 10,000 possible key combinations, I'm sure lots of people have the same key lying around. When I was younger we used to play tennis for free on weekends because one of our car keys opened the padlock they used to lock the gates with.
Oh really? Didn't know that. I suppose thats why all the cars now have electronic key registries or what ever they do. Haha winning
Not sure if all cars are like that or just old nissans. They only have a 4 digit key code (so in reality if someone gets your key code they can go get a blank cut and then have access to your car). Not really as safe as you first thought eh.
I knew about the code. But didnt take any thought into the limitations of the amount of keys avaliable
