Does anyone know if anyone has twin charged a Z yet? (supercharged and turbocharged in one) Found a few nissans with them inc skyline / GTR etc I wouldnt mind this particular car - but in a Z flavour! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SjNgVH_HN0 Would like some pics / links of a Twincharged VG30DETT :zlove:
Not exactly real savvy with this sort of stuff personally, but would this not be a more practical method if you're desperate to reduce turbo lag? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_turbocharger
Whilst I said I would like to have that nissan in a Z32 flavour - I didnt say I wanted to get one! I was just wondering if anyone has ever done one yet as I would like some more unique pics to my expanded Z32 library. where would it fit - theres some bulges on other Z bonnets that are rather very / extremely large - so the same spot I guess - would'nt be too different to them and there humungous bonnets - wont be street legal here in oz I guess but theres other places you could crikey - there was even that guy that had monster turbo sitting outside on top of his bonnet that was pictured here some time ago - lol
too hard the only way i could see of making it all fit would be to ditch the air con and mount the supercharger in that location.. but still the piping would be a bitch let alone setting it up so they work together well and give a nice power curve.
Hey Champ ! a twin charged Z a quad turbocharged Z a supercharged Z any other unusual configured motor in a Z - ie V12 etc (I have enough V8 pics) and...... would really love more / better pics of the Bonneville Z than what I have!! (really love that car....and the actual bumper bar diffuser!) Why black beast does thankyou not come up under your name next to the quote - everyone else has one except you??? If you dont know I will ask forum admin why. A beer for you if I ever catch up with you sometime for your help on my teins! Job is being done now thanks to you. Raheen - check the various twincharged cars out there - they actually have some low supercharge configurations available out there that look really really low slim and flat and this would reduce the bulge required in the bonnet. I actually thought that twincharging would be a stupid idea at first limited by the least capable unit- but apparently doing this reduces the misgivings of both chargers allowing more HP and Torque. Seems these are getting more traction in the world in various configurations - ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twincharger
