Although I have a 2+2 I didn't exactly target one.... I think there a bloody waste of time, the only good thing is the extra room for stuff.....

    Id rather be rooting in a 2+2 than a 2 seater :p

If you fold the rear seats down, you've got a great impromptu platform for a self inflating mattress for car camping or a bit of squeaky-squeaky :D

This is 100% true. You kinda cant help it, if you have excessive amounts of self control, maybe you can. In all honesty I said the same thing 3 months ago.. What was the 1st thing i did with a mate in the car, see how quick the z is, and trust me a N/A has all the power you need. As others have said, be like everyone else and wait. A tt will come soon enough.

2+2 all the way, 2+0 look like a stubbed toe.

I agree, the 2+0 dimensions just look... off, if you know what I mean. The 2+2's dimensions (proportionally speaking) are much nicer IMO. Plus, you have the extra seats (for babies/midgets and normal people that don't mind being squished) and extra luggage space.

Exactly, it's worked perfectly for me with a 2+2. Life style choice comes into it, I have 2 brothers that I occasionally needed to pick up (when I daily drove the zed), so a 2+0 would have been impractical.

I think the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Ferrari FF would like to disagree with you :D

I've had 6 maybe 7 people in mine. not so bad with girls sitting on the centre console and on my lap tho. Regarding the Hicas I ditched mine a few weeks back and it feels much safer and acts how I expect a rwd car to behave, with hicas it felt like the rear was floating which was scary, and yes with the Hicas I've oversteered around a bend and smashed it. Without Hicas it slides around perfectly and feels safe. No matter which you get buy some new tyres for it and not something cheap these cars are so unforgiving.

Autocross? A Zed will be a bit impractical on dirt, a hell of a lot of fun though :D

An NA might be better than a TT for that kind of thing anyway even if you did have the choice betwween the two.

I always planned to get a sticky set of Potenza RE050A 245/265s (or something else like that) to go with the new wheels.

Nah, there's a mob in Brisbane (HSCCQ) who do ones on tarmac as well, I might get a setup for the ZX for dirt auto crossing later though.

Aaaaand another question (since you guys seem to love answering my nooby questions); how possible would it be to swap in the digital dash from the Z31 or even the one with a HUD from the 3rd gen Maxima? I was thinking that it might be possible if I use something like the Dakota Universal Signal Interfaces for the tacho/speedo/fuel level/etc. The USA guys use them for the 200MPH speedos, so with a little lot of work, would it be feasible?

It's possible to swap the dash I'd say, but what for?

There are 300km speedo's available for purchase fairly often, that's a common upgrade.

No idea about the digital dash but it sounds more trouble than it's worth. There are a few after market digital dashes you could fit but they are pretty expensive and really not worth it unless you really need all teh fancy features for a race car.

How tight are your autocross circuits? If they are really tight and technical you might still be better of with an NA, Sandeep and I have both comfortably beaten TTs in motorkhana type events in NAs. Somewhat different story on open tracks though. :p

Still, depending on what else is around NA zeds can be as competitive as TTs with in their respective classes but if you want to get really serious about competitive motorsport rather than just having fun a Zed is probably a poor choice in either form.

Because it looks awesome (especially the one from the Maxima) :br:
Plus, I'm a gadget freak, I'd love to be able to have a completely digital dashboard

I have to go with the N/A anyway, the decision was made for me because my calculations were off in terms of power/weight. The closest is the auto 2+2 TT, it's power/weight is like 127kW/tonne, which is 2kW over the limit for QLD.
