180kph is fine if you don't want to speed or take it to a track day, although you'd need it to be modded anyway since it cuts out just before that with the speed limiter, (for imported ones) had my old NA bouncing off that many times.
Hmm So you reckon it won't go over 180km/h if it stock j-spec. What you think ecutalk will not show speed over 180km/h???
If you had read what he said you would see that the ecu's stock speed limiter stops the car from going over 186kmh. De-restrict your ecu and the ecutalk will read any speed your zed is capable of reaching.
Reminds me of the Nissan GT-R on Top Gear Australia - slowed down by 2.4 seconds because of the speed limiter, and in track time, a flock of roo's could run across the road in that time!
Source from wiki: The JUN-BLITZ Bonneville Z32 holds the E/BMS class land speed record of 260.87*mph (419.84*km/h) set at the 1995 Bonneville Speed Trial. The vehicle was built as a partnership between JUN Auto and BLITZ. This record remains unbroken. In 1990 JUN's first Z32 went 210.78*mph (339.2*kph) at their Yatabe test course and hit 231.78*mph (373*km/h) after some tuning at Bonneville.
That speed was attained with 2.75:1 diff gears from what i remember (or something stupid like that). Also any aftermarket ecu can removed the speed limiter.
Doesn't have to be aftermarket ECU as such - any socketed stock ECU reflashed with bin from aus-spec and you're all sweet.
None at all. Actually, when you stuck your head out of the roof and your sunglasses flew off... That was a quality moment too haha
