What is the top speed in km/h anybody have done in 300zx???

Only in 300zx and only in australia.

Want to see if you really need that 320km/h speedo???
Or 180km/h is enough to get your eyeballs OUT.

    Share your story people....

    Cheers

LOL, depends on how much power you have. I had my near stock old car up to 245 klm/hr at Phillip island.

Might have even been on the race track...... maybe. :p

280klm/hr AUSSPEC speedo would be enough.

They're 260k's in the Aus spec Tekky :p Got one in my zed, much better than the 300k I had in the last zed, that was just silly. Much better resolution on the 260K.

Can't go faster than 260 without going past redline with a NA diff so suits me just fine, doubt I'll ever hit it. 200 is plenty fast

I have a calculator somewhere that suggested a TT diff would allow you to get your Z around 320km/h at 7500rpm. Its not a differcult equation to work out really, just rpm x 5th gear ratio x diff ratio x tire size ...

    I got bored so worked it out for myself - 318.92km/h @ 7500rpm (308.29km/h @ 7250rpm)

180km/h in j-spec TT was scary on public road. But I had plenty of RPM left in the engine.

Wonder if the ECUTalk goes upto 320km/h. Or above 180km/h.

    Anybody tried it on ECUTalk???

Might not need that 320km/h speedo it ECUtalk can show you that speed and saves the hassle of putting that speedo in the cluster.

Do you have individual figure of 5 gear ratio, diff ratio and tyre size ??

ECUtalk will go to whatever the ECU will read, which is something stupid like 760k.

I wish if it goes upto 760km/h. Lol

    But thanks for answering.
Guess, I don't need that 320km/h speedo and hassle comes with it.

Theoretically... but what about wind resistance and drag, plus stability

Yes, you definately need more than standard power to get to 300km/h, but the Z32 is very sleek, low and wide, which makes it a bit easier

290KM/h when I lived in Alice Springs back in late 2008, Was hell and scary at the same time, was runing around 270rwkw then with 275 40 17, Manual and stock tt diff, These cars will do 200mph around 7400 and plenty of power, I ran out of strait road but that was quick enough.
Had my mate behind me on his CBR1000 too, both got the same result. RPM was at 6600.

It was on the last day of the open speed limit, I know some guys did filming that day.

Here is a video of the car stock, bar the Exhaust, about a month before I got the mines and upped the boost, FMIC Intake,
    http://youtu.be/exrTktFV61c
About 190km/h on the stock Ecu
