Sad day Tekky ! Everything has a beginning a middle and an end. Now you can move your race car along that path.
When my yellow one drove away I told the guy "watch out for the end of the drive, go at an angle or you will crash the bumper" Guy drives down the drive CRUNCH!!! "bye bye yellow Z " I didn't cry but I rekin if I'd stubbed my tow or spilt me vodka that would have been enough to shed a tear LOL! Madness aye, it's just a car but after ~10yrs and having worked on every single part of the car & more than a thousand hours gone in to it with spanner in hand..... You still have race Zed though don't you?
sorry to hear it tekky, now surely a large, irrational purchase for the race car is called for to help you get through these trying times? Dry sump kit or forged wheels?
Chin up ya big bub. One door closes and another opens. Look forward to the next project. We know you'll attack it with the same passion.
No wounder your upset, I remember seeing the car at your old place (in ten thousand bits) you put a lot of time effort and money into rebuilding the bitch, and then just kick it out the door like a 10$ hooker. Oh well you still have one left.
Well, what can you do???? Anyway, I will be ordering the big Porsche rear rotors next week and a full set of race pads. Then sit down to take stock of what has to be done to this race car to get it finished. Funny thing Iheard a few weeks ago. My father said to the brother in law. "that race car will never be finished" Seems I recall him saying that about the road car 8 years ago. I am on a mission now. That car MUST be finished and on the track by the Nissan nationals next year. I am gonna have a big sale now as I go through quite a few boxes of stuff for the road car I was saving up. I have to clear out all the last of the crap. There is precious little Z32 on the track car to need stock parts for.
something is still waiting here for you . its dammm hard to let go sometimes , even having the race car its just not the same , but you'll be fine when your on the track . ( obviously not racing against me, you have no chance ) ( love you )
I wuv you too Alex, You will see me at the track Alex. Except I will be WAY WAY WAY in front of you darling.
I can fully understand you being a bit upset when I drove away in it Graham. You've not only put a lot of money into it, but more importantly a lot of man hours too. It shows too. The quality of the car is first rate and I'm absolutely delighted with it. Thanks to you and your lovely wife for your kind hospitality as well. You may have had a tear but you've made me very happy. Cheers Mate
Ooowwww that's so cute. I love it when your infront of me wink wink. I wish you well as I always do . And I hope you do get a chance to get infront of me . But I don't like you chances And now to pic on your driving I guess we can swap cars . You no I trust ya
Graham i can imagine how you feel i could never part ways with my zed...i would rather it get written off and me with it than sell it I am sure the race car was a worthy reason so glad i was able to see it before it was sold...perfect zed in every way!!! Hit me up with the parts you find as im always looking for parts LOL Abraham
They grow on you mate, the old man I bought my slicktop off cried when I drove off. Knowing that it is going to a good place helps a lot.
Hi Graham, Was that my old Z that you just sold? Still had the unique interior in it or did you get sick of my colour choices Cheers Mark
can tell you one thing... 10000x easier to see it drive away into a new owners hands than to see it towed away for scrap on the back of a flat bed....
Yep, thats the one, That interior was bloody nice. That was close to the sole reason I bought it off you. I would say we will see it again. I am sure Dave will have it at one of the cruises or events in SA in the future. But it did cure me, That car cost me 30K in the end by the time it was back on the road. Selling it for $15500 was a real deal Last time I will do that. Looking back, I should have used that cash to restore something that would have been worth more after I was finished.
