I'm thinking of getting the two end pieces and getting a 1 piece braided clutch line straight from the master to slave cylinder made up rather than getting the super long LHD one or spending a fortune on a pre-made RHD one. Does anyone know how long the ideal length is? I can make some estimates but as mt car has teh engine and box out I can't really work out exactly. Thanks.
This would be handy to know. I have the lhd version and I had a thought that if the real required length needed is half of the length of the lhd one I might get mine cut in half and have the extra ends crimped on. Will have a spare that someone may wish to buy. I can't estimate the length as I haven't yet put the manual box in. If it all works out Peter. Might be able to help you out. Have to wait and see.
Yeah well ill be doing it soon. If it works out. As I'll be doing the manual conversion in about a fortenights time. So ill have to get myself sorted.
If anyone wants a long one in VIC I have a spare - looking to cover postage from Coz so $70 and its yours.
Are the end fittings easy enough to get hold of or is it worth ordering a long one to get shortened from Z1 while I've got an order going anyway?
Z1 one i have here is 2 meters long. That's to the end on the hose into the fittings. Seems I can half mine and make it useful. As I don't want 1.33 meters of hose to hide.
No worries. I'll take it to work tomorrow and send it to our hydraulic supplier and get a quote from them to do the job. Also supply another set of fittings to suit. Banjo plug and bspp/jic. Will be in contact. Oh btw. What measurement we to use. 57 or 60cm? 3 cm can add up to a lot of slack. Noting I'm using mine on an na. Where as yours turbo?
