Hey guys i thought i might start a thread to show whats happening to my zed over the next 12 months with the plans to have the tt engine sitting under the hood by novermber-december 11. The focus for the engine is to put out between 350-400rwkw with as good as spool i can get (gt28rs) But at the moment i have been working with cosmetics, suspension and the na motor so heres a list of what i have bought in the last 3 weeks * Tein s spec springs * HKS hyper power cat back exhaust system * JWT eprom * Stillen quad duct nose panel * Stillen GTZ front (looks sexy) * Powertrix carbon fiber for light ducts * Altezza front clear indicators * Din gauge holder * 3 guages 50mm: oil pressure, water temp and af ratio (60mm boost on pillar when tt is mounted) *Generic infill panel (temporary fix cost 50 bucks no 3rd brake light) *Drift gear knob (dont like the feel of my nismo gt one) This will be getting fitted once i get a break from work i have been in the mines for the past 2 weeks so hopefully im out soon for a bit. after all this is fitted the plan is to get resprayed and rota grids fitted. hopefully in 4 weeks time. after that main focus is this engine Thanks for veiwing my thread i will be posting photos and stories as i go along hope to see you all at zedfest :zlove:
Didn't know you had douchebag cannons! love 'em. Eagerly awaiting this thread. Shame you're losing the wheels, I'm rather fond of what you're running in those pics. Look sweet as. In fact if you gave it a wash and ditched the p-plate in that first pic, it would've made for a damn good shot.
they arent any old cannon,s look like a HKS Hi power system or what ever they call it. good quality gear
Rimsare genuine volk racing gt-c 18x10, exhaust is hks high power and im soon to mount a stillen gtz front bar as i love the look of stock curves
ok ok sorry for keeping you waiting and please excuse my lack of photos so far but the tt engine build has started and im up to the stage of that i have got the engine fully stripped down and the block being chem cleaned, rebored and full engine balance. i have also purchased a second hand set of HKS GT2510 that are getting rebuilt. The chem clean and rebore is being done at a workshop called Headco in inverell and the chem clean is $50 and the rebore is $220 for all cylinders. The block does not require being decked so from here once the work is done which should be next week as i just ordered wiseco 87.5mm piston kit, eagle rods and clevite main and rod bearings today delivered to my door for $1300. The engine is getting a full balance done by a company in Tamworth called Retorque for $400 which is pretty good as my kart engine cost $200 elsewhere anyway enjoy the 2 pics lol and look out for the next update coming it soon
cool, i can tell you though that you will absolutely need to deck that block, no doubt about it. Take it from me, if you do not get the block decked and finished as per cometic's instructions then the gasket will not seal, dont even bother putting the motor in the car. Im not exaggerating either
yeah, search cometic on this forum , there is alot of info there, ive posted on quite afew threads with theinformation, if you need to , feel free to pm me for my tips on getting a good gasket seal. Ive used cometics in a dozen builds and have not had sealing iussues unlike alot of others.
thought i would throw in a picture of the car i pulled the engine from, shower plus plats were real nice
Update on the tt engine i recieved my bottom end block is being bored out to 87.5mm as you read this purchased and waiting for a tt gearbox and sump just installed coilovers and fitting bigger swaybars next weekend also have decided to put 2860rs cores in the hks turbos, guess im running around in circles but oh well lol still works out cheaper
