I've always wondered this too, but in my scenario, both cars are stock N/A Manuals, assuming both drivers are the same skill level... 300zx vs R32/R33/R34 Any idea's?
What kind of zed? What kind of Skyline? Z32 NA - 166kW / 268Nm / 2+0:1445kg / 2+2:1503kg TT - 224kW / 384Nm / 2+0:1576kg / 2+2:1634kg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Skyline do the math
na skylines are pretty rare, but you should beat every single one of them with your z32 na manual. you have a torque advantage , and better top end power. you should also be very close to the performance of a stock r32 gtst, probably a tiny bit slower but pretty level pegging. any gtr, or r33 gtst or r34 gtt you should be behind unless they are terrible drivers. tt z32 will beat any gtst - gtt variant, and will be slower than any gtr of the line, but should be able to overtake them once your on the high side of 80kmh or so.
im hoping in the new year when i buy a tt half cut that itl eat a skyline for breakfast,,after i get it all in
IMO skylines are a nice looking and well performing car, pitty the majority of them are abused neglected, under appreciated sport car.. I'd hope a Z would flog a skyline, if not it'd look faster doing it lol..
skylines are massivly over rated and got their fame from uleh's who don't know any better tt z will stomp gtst/gtt every single day and will beat gtr mod for mod boost for boost in a hwy race they have no torque at all, and thats what counts 120kmph+
I think the laws of Physics say that if you drop both of them off a cliff they should hit the ground at the same time. But I'd never do that to a Zed, but a Skyline? hmmmmm
Are you forgetting the coefficient of friction and aerodynamics of the Z relative to the skyline? Back on topic (boostcruising style) - Which has more stickers?
lol, A-B ... i think that it is 32ft per second, per second .... .. but i would like to know if the OP is talking forward or in reverse ....??!!!
