Hey all, if you have a 2+0, how does it affect your day to day life. I plan on looking at a few 2+0, and from only seeing 2+2's, my angry dad doesn't like the idea of a 2+0 I've already mentioned to him that the back to seats are next to useless for transporting people bigger than 5 and a half foot Cheers, Dean.
I set out looking for my 2+0. Doesnt change anything at all for me being a 20yr old kid. You being similar i would think the same. Youl never be deso and all you need is room for a gf...done
I've got a 2+2 and 2+0, being a young buck at only 19 I really don't need the extra 2 seats. Anyone I have transported in the back of my 2+2 would never want to sit back there again anyway I suppose if you had little kids or midget friends a 2+2 would be nice but otherwise you probably dont need a 2+2
Much the same boat. only 4 door car i have owned was a swift, which was a daily hack (and i mean hack) it was good for transporting car parts for my projects. Doesnt bother me, bags in the boot. me and mrs in front. rear seats on a 2 door only end up getting cluttered with random crap coz you cbf climbing in there to clean it.
I've had both 2+2 and 2+0 Zeds. Having those extra 2 back seats in my 2+2 still hasn't changed whether or not i can fit more people in my car, as it's just not worth cramming people in the back. So i basically treat my 2+2 as a 2 seater anyway. So no difference in my opinion. However if you lay the back seats down flat in a 2+2, it does give you more boot room than a 2+0, so you could look at that as an advantage i guess. apart from that, the 2+2's look sleeker anyway.
The 2+2 is great, can fit me and a mate in the front and 2 lovely teenage girls in the back seats (face it you probably wouldnt wanna go any girl who doesn't fit in there anyway) plus they have to go spread eagle to get their legs around the seats. What more could you want? Also you can store stuff on the back seat That being said I'd still probably prefer a 2 seater because they look sexyyyy :zlove:
I've had my zed since I was 18..now 24. I never had an issue with having a 2-seater...I was first hesitant, but I fell in love with my zed...and well its never been an issue, all I need is room for me and the fella.. However, it is handy if the partner has a car with more then 2 seats..just in case..otherwise it may be annoying..but I've never had any issues..:zlove:
back seats aren't useless To give it a go what its like I sat in my own back seat behind my friend who dove who was 6'4 and had it all the way back. Anyone whos in your pride and joy and complains about the leg room should harden the hell up anyway. Its handy to have the possibilities of taking more than 1 extra person with you, but at the same time you are buying the car for your own comfort and joy and whether 2+0 or 2+2, its the same for you. 2+0 = deep boot space, good for fitting bulky things and a creative sound system 2+2 = shallow boot space. Keep in mind in a 2+2 I was able to fit the bonnet, 2 full size wheels, strut bar and a couple of back packs. (you can use the back seats as 'boot space' too But once I put that 15" sub in the boot, boot space was useless unless I took it out.
Went out searching for a 2 seater only. 19, and last car was a 5 seater (hand me down)... never regretted it. and I'm the deso 'cause I don't drink - means I waste somebody else's petrol. Have never wished I got a 2+2, but when I sell my current Z and get on the market for another, I'll be after only a 2+2 because... that, and the longer wheel base. even though they're 100 kg heavier ): (why has nobody mentioned performance yet?)
even though i wouldnt want to go any further than the next suburb or so with them in there, i find i do actually use the rear seats on occasion for transporting friends. it is very uncomfortable back there but i find it handy to have the option, rather than "oh sorry i cant give you a lift ive only got one spare seat"
the rear seats are very handy when /if needed - yeah it may be tight for adults, but it's better than dropping someone of to go pick up another & bring back and forth and when you fold them down you can fit a decent amount of stuff - couldn't fit some small tables and chairs packaged in boxes into my wifes new mazda3 sedan the other day that we got from IKEA - folded the rear seats in the Z & they went in easily. Good to have when you need it - and you will!
Grew up driving utes. Don't think I've ever driven a 4 seater or any sedan for that matter. I my world, cars only have 2 seats.
the girlfrined complains that 2 seats is shit cause i cant carry her mates around the place. all my friends have there own cars so i couldnt care less. 2+0= not being deso and no carrying annoying friends of gf == WIN!!!
Sometimes i wish i had a 1 seater. Oh has anyone ever managed to christen the back seat of a Z ( midget stories ) l.o.l
mate... as you know.... I've got both a 2 seater and 2+2 now..... and soon sadly selling the 2 seater.... In my 8 years of owning the NA, the 2 seater has never been a problem.... its only now that our first baby is on the way, that the 2 seater is problematic.... If it wasnt for kids, I would never have sold or be selling my 2 seater I love my new 2+2 TT Its a fantastic car. But in my opnion, the 2 seater looks better. The shorter back is more appealing to my eye. Also, I find the 2 seater to be more stereo friendly than the 2+2. Things for you to consider. Cheers
well.... I find the deeper 2 seater boot better for sub boxes.... and the rear parcel tray in the 2 seater is perfect for mounting your amps on..... the 2+2 has a shallow boot making sub box design more difficult, and no real place to mount amps onto....
