Hi All, Just registered my zed in the ACT. Costs are as follows: a) Registration $400.80 CTPI Premium: $487.50 (NRMA) Road Rescue: $16.00 Road Safety Fee: $2.00 Total $906.30 Please note that in the ACT we have NO CHOICE for CTPI premiums. We must pay it to NRMA at their dictated rate. I would really like to know the costs interstate. Cheers
yeah mine was in that ballpark figure. i got stopped in NSW, a cop thought my car was unrego. he had a heart attack at the price i paid for rego! then he sent me on my way. When you think about it, its pretty bad, we cant not pay. But it blocks other businesses out of the market for it, and takes choice and prefernce away from us.
NSW Costs Rego - $56 Vehicle Tax - $250 CTP - $500-700 depending on who you are what discounts you can get. So not much difference. CTP's are increasing by approx $40 / year in NSW. Makes it difficult to run 2 cars
Sucks that you have no choice who you go with for the CTP insurance but at least it's compulsory, when some idiot in their beaten up $200 Commodore backs into your pristine Zed you'll be glad they had to get third party insurance to register their car, down here the odds would be reasonable that they would have no insurance at all and you would be screwed.
CTP is what is referred to as Third party people, it covers injury of other people in the accident Third Party property is what you are referring to, this is not compulsory and many people do not have it
Ah, yeah, at least that is compulsory everywhere. Still, I just don't get how you can legally drive a car without some kind of third party property damage insurance.
Victorian figures .... rego due 18.9.2010. Postie timed this perfectly! $187.40 - Registration fee $397.00 - TAC charge $39.70 - Insurance duty $624.10 = Total Hope you had a good holiday, John. Cheers, Mike.
Here's mine Licence fee $193.65 Insurance $222.73 GST $22.27 Stamp duty $24.50 Recording fee $13.05 Total for 12 months, $476.20. And I was moaning!!!!!!!
Sigh i shouldve bought my z' in Perth... Itd only get driven like 2 months out of the year but that would probably be for the best
when rego and stuff comes up again get everything transfered to your parents home address. cars, licence etc.
CTP only covers personal injury (third party), not property. So would not help you if car is damaged, only if you are injured in the accident.
I wish Road infrastructure was federalised...it may not make it cheaper for NSW/ACT but at least it would make it the same price for you WA hooligans
and we have more roads then all of you put together lol shoosh anyway, aren't you becoming one of us?
