My 1989 twin turbo 300zx has an automatic gearbox with a drainplug. I'm told that this is unusual and may indicate that the box is from an na. Does anyone know for sure whether tts do or not have a drain plug on the gearbox? Thanks for your help
Thanks Haha Now I'm just as confused as before. A friend said that they had never come across a TT with a drain plug. Does this have something to do with being an import japspec as against an ausspec?
Here in the states, the very early 89.5 had no drain plug but later models did.. In either 93 or 94 the pan was also made with ribs in it...
Thanks to all. Seems I don't have to worry that my TT may have an NA box. Going to have to do some work on it. Last week it started slipping intermittently. That is, after driving normally, on Monday night it got halfway home and the box started slipping. I waited 20 mins and it then drove home normally. Checked the fluid and it was ok. Took it for a spirited run to check it out. then next morning I went 1.5 km and it slipped again. Wouldn't move! Called NRMA, got towed home. It couldn't get part way up my steep driveway. Waited half an hour and it drove up without a problem. Haven't had a chance to do anything yet. Where do I start? HaHa. The Z must know my tax refund is due
