The original clips would usually have become brittle and broken-off by now. If you lay the bonnet's rod across the top of the radiator, you should be able to spot where the original clips fitted. The left-most one clipped into a square hole (about 8mm square) on top of the left radiator clamp. Then the right clip fitted into same sized hole at perhaps half of the length of the rod. Even with a different radiator fitted, I expect they kept the original radiator clamps in place - if you see an 8mm square hole in line with where the rod lays - that's where the replacement clip goes.
    Cheers,
    Toby

Ok, I know the grommit you're talking about. I couldn't find the bonnet rod clips anywhere so I ended up having to buy a box of them from the US. I didn't buy any of the rubber grommits though. If you go to an electrical wholesaler like L&H or John R Turk, maybe even a place like Ideal Electrical, you can buy almost exactly the same grommit as the factory fitted Z32 one. They're actually a rubber circle used for protecting cables when wiring a house that has a metal frame. They're sold in different sizes, you can buy them as either made of rubber or nylon & will set you back about 20 cents!
    Hope that helps.

    Hi All,
If you've been thinking of getting a pair of these, I'm now beginning to run low & unless you're prepared to buy a whole box of them from the US, I promise - they're hard to come-by.
