Had a run with the NSCC at Wakefield today, Well run event with lots of competetive cars competing, Only managed a 1.11.64, short of my PB 1.11.31 from last meeting. Mijake was there in his Zed think his was a PB of 1.12.86, and Ports who spent most of the day changing the drive belts on the zed after the alternator belt decided to disinergrate, managed to get a couple of runs in late in the day with a 1.13.60 being best, not enough time to do any better. Don't know if theres any pics around? Natsoft results. http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results.cgi?15/05/2010.WAKE.S2.Y
Was a good day with perfect weather, great bunch of people and lots of track time. Good to see Wiz and Ports there representing zeds as its normally just me and uniquez at the nscc track events. I didn't realise I did a PB, previous pb was 1.13.3 so I was stoked. It must have come on one of the last sessions when they joined the groups and I was trying to chase down group 1 cars! hehe Im hunting you down Wiz! Was a pity that the belt fell apart on Ports' car but glad it was up and running and managed to squeeze a few laps near the end!
Yes going well Micheal, just need to keep it on the black stuff, had a chuckle when you dissapeared in a big cloud of dust on the first corner in front of me. Need to set your sights a bit higher than me Mike, i'm getting older and slower, ZX2NV and Fleet have been around there in 1.09's and JT has a 1.10 to his credit. so thats what your chasing. Be back there in July with the Skyline boys for another crack.
Yes Rob I.11's is hauling arse in a street Zed, i wouldn't like to be sitting in the passenger seat when i'm doing it. Be good when you can get out there and join us, also Black beast is keen for a run, so when JT joins us again we should have a formidable Zed presence at the tracks in NSW in the future.
Definately be out there later this year Wiz, will have some new suspension mods to test out by then. Sounds like a good day I missed.
Definately didn't get "the rub of the green" out there on Saturday, but thems the breaks. Big thanks to Wizard for ferrying me back and forth on a belt mission. Good to catch up with Michael, who really impressed, and other notorious NSCC members from ye olde days. Can't wait for the next event.
