    Hi all,
Wondering if anyone has the thread pitch / diameter of a oil sump plug.
I've been doing some research for an exciting new group buy, but need to get the specifics of the sump plug size before going ahead with the price negotiation.
FSM and courtesy parts have no leads as to the specifics, surely someone can measure the diameter and thread pitch (with a thread gauge) on their spare engine or something?

    Cheers

    99% sure it's M12x1.25

I know that the guys who made my sump got it wrong even though I wrote it on the drawing quite clearly

I will check when I get home.

    You're a legend.
That's what the general consensus is for nissans post 1989.

I measured my spare engines sump plug (crawled under the house to uncover the bastard) and its 1.25 pitch, with a diameter of 11.85mm (gotta love over-exact measurements). This was for a 1992 NA engine.

If anyone knows any differences in the 1989 sump plug to the later models, please post here, and/or PM me. :)

    Better.
    GB thread pending approval.
Basically for under 40 bucks, you can revolutionize the way you change your oil FOREVER

Cuts down on mess, fuss and significantly speeds up the process of an oil change.

    STAY TUNED

Sounds like something I bought in a GB a few years ago from HeavyTrev :p I didn't use mine, so if anyone wants one ;)

Hah yeah i got one of those too. Haven't put it in either. The car hasn't been used enough for an oil change yet.

If your talking about a little spring loaded tap, we already had a GB for them some time ago(Heavy Trevy if I'm not mistaken).

They were great value too! Mine works like a dream.:zlove:
