Well it is official i have Prostrate Cancer. I have had some health issues of recent times, and in the course of getting checkups and tests done, they discovered i am suffering from Prostrate cancer.

I had an MRI done 2 weeks ago and it was not good, usually in early stage cancer they will maybe find a small one or two dark shapes in the prostrate, mine was all dark. The first thing the surgical registrar said was, that will be coming out it is a very aggressive looking tumour. Now they are looking at doing a full body scan to see if it has spread outside of the prostrate, if it is has i will be getting a lot more than surgery, and i'll be glowing green in the dark after some chemo.

So as this sounds bad and it is, life is what it is and i will fight on and take the battle to the cancer. But i would like all of you guys and girls to consider your health and go and get checkups on a regular basis, the older we get the more likely of having something nasty increases. You owe it your loved ones, to do it .

I will keep everyone updated on how it is progressing, and for those wondering why i put my car up for sale, now you know,,,,,,,,,,,, Bills before Burnouts.

    Cancer is certainly a motherfu(ker.

My Grandfather passed earlier this year - exactly a month before my wedding date. It was a trying time for the family but my Grandfather stayed strong - I was a bloody blubbering mess towards his final days, but when I was in his presence I didn't let him see that. He was strong right up until he lost his battle.

Stay strong mate and give it hell!

    Sorry to hear man.

I think we've all be touched by cancer in some way these days.

There's nothing to say except #fuckcancer

I work with a guy who suffered prostate cancer. He's still here. He's fine. No cancer remaining at all.

His wife also got struck with breast cancer. She's here. She's fine. No more cancer years later.

Concentrate on the many stories of survivors mate.

There are even stories out there to read, where people were given hours to live, and now they lead healthy lives.

Concentrate on those TRUE stories mate, and be one of them.

    Hi mate.
That’s not great news, but as the other guys have said, keep your head up and stay strong, and you will win!!!

And I totally agree with what you say about getting regular checks, someone does not necessarily need to feel crook to be sick.

When I was 22 I was diagnosed with
Choriocarcinoma, I was young, strong and fit, and felt a million dollars.
The only reason I went to the doctor was because I had a very very small lump under one of my nipples
It didn’t bother me at all but my GF at the time told me to get it checked out.
Sure enough, I had legions in my lungs and a testicle.
10 months of chemo and an operation later and I’m still here to tell the tale.

Not so fit and not so strong but that’s age for ya lol

    So anything is possible mate.

    Col

Thanks GM , that's all i can do is take one day at a time. I have looked inwards at myself and said if i am to go, i'm going out fighting and i'm going to make the cancer wish it had picked a softer target. I'm keeping myself busy with work and bitching at all the stupidity with senior management and wondering how the feck they keep their jobs,,,,,,,,,, hmmm they all seem to have really rounded lips and coloured very brown. lol

One of the things i have found is Listen to your body. If you get a sort of craving for any types of food go for it.
Pre radiotherapy mine was bacon and grapes (seperate of course).
Post radiotherapy was cherry tomatoes then anchovies.
Key thing is cut down on sugar and start using raw sugar.
Send me a pm as there is something else to let you know.

Turn up to work with flippers and snorkel. Tell them your going for a promotion. The flippers are so you can get up there further and the snorkel is so you can last longer. Hahaha

Well i go into hospital tomorrow for the Biopsies to determine what stage my cancer is and if it has spread. Here's hoping it isn't too bad , and that it hasn't spread. The part i'm not looking forward to is the bloody hospital food, i'd rather the pain after the anesthetic wears off then their food lol .

Well home from hospital, will know what the results are in 2-3 weeks. Not in any real pain, just a tad sore. And the food didn't kill me so that's a score :p
