So in the interests of removing rust, I've had the GTV's exhaust changed a little.
Can you believe that these little 4 cylinder cars have 4 silencers from factory?

That is 2 too many!.....maybe even 3 too many :D

Yep it isn't too antisocial at all.

Before we arrived at this setup, we'd deleted the large res, and kept everything else. That sounded HORRID and I learnt what people refer to as "drone" pretty fast lol.

So all up, this has only cost me $280
$80 for the original res delete.
Then $180 to put a new res in, and delete the muffler and tip res.

And LOL at Sexy Voice comment lol.

"Keep your day job" I think is the phrase.

However, I am tinkering with 2 YouTUbe channels.

One will be about cheap cars "3000 Dollar Cars" (current name for my channel).

The other will be more about cruises and runs and road trips and as such is called......
    "The Runs"

    :D

btw on the note of anti social noises....by beetle did attract some Police attention.

I was let off with some friendly advice and nothing more.

But here's an extended video of my beetle exhaust that includes in cabin sound.

Fairly loud compared to the GTV. I'd put that down to better sound deadening in the alfa ;)

Just to correct my typo above, it was $200 for the new res install and muffler delete.

    I miss my GTV!
Other than some WRX's, it was the best sounding 4 cylinder I have driven. Had a custom cat back exhaust.

Just buy one and park it up.
They are STUPIDLY cheap at the moment, and wonderful cars.
Just check the service history, factor in the belt service, and be done with it :)

I've once again been purving over a V6 version, and the later GT V6, however I can't bring myself to part with the Twin Spark just yet. I'm still enjoying it too much to "need" to change.

I'd love to park a V6 GT along side it though.

*looks at the beetle sitting in the garage with evil eyes*

Best Alfa i ever owned was an 1980 Alfetta 2.0l twin headlight version, man that things was hell ass quick and sounded awesome. The previous owner worked in an exhaust shop so he redid the whole system,,, think " And she purrs like a kitten 'till the lake pipes roar " .

Next one would have to be a V6 :)
Missed out on a GT V6 locally last month. One owner, 130K, red. All stock original with a RWC for $7500.

They are worth nothing at this end of the World.

Hmm maybe we need an Alfa sub section lol (old "in joke")

I've also been thinking about the Alfetta's and recently found myself dreaming about erecting a new garage in my garden just for GTVs lol.

Within $40K you could easily buy:
    80's Alfetta
    916 GTV
    GT
    Brera (they're coming down already).

Make it a 5 car garage and you have a space reserved for the 4c when they drop. :D

There is a 100th Anniversary edition GT for sale in WA for a great price BUT it has no service history and has been stolen/written off at some point. :(

Shame. They only released 100 of them in 2010 in Australia. And this is one of those 100.
