We all know the hks sequential box are no longer available and even finding a used one is near impossible.
This new Aussie made shifter is coming to the market https://www.bremershifters.com/shop?orderby=rating website isn't up yet, the chances of them making a Z32 shifter is almost zero but talk of a skyline kit is coming.
So by using a rb25 gearbox casting with your VG bell housing and a PPG dogbox
gearset https://www.ppgearbox.com/nissan-r32-r33-r34-gt-r will be the closest thing to a sequential we will get. Pay close attention at 1:09 time stamp, remote mount. This is what makes this conversion possible. Coupled with a strain gauge knob and decent ecu the potential there.

I doubt the Z32 5 speed really needs this though as it's only 5 gears and not a bad box in terms of shifter feel. Also Japanese companies have had these 10 years ago, from the videos I've seen where S15 6 speeds have these bolt on things, it's not a true sequential and you can't shift it as quick as a real one either.

The remote thing is pretty cool. That's the kind of mod you need when doing cool engine swaps but can't get the shifter to line up with the tunnel opening etc and go cutting into the body. LS conversion running a T56 mangum? Has potential.

Ikeya Formula did them ages ago. Seemed like a bit of a gimick really. Look cool though.

HGT don’t make anything for 300zx -you’d be looking at a completely custom fit out.

TTI in New Zealand do something similar.

You’d have to be a pretty serious competitor to justify the time and expense.

Another option would be to get these guys to put a manualised shift kit through your Z32 auto trans https://mvautomatics.com.au/ -I think it runs about $3.5k using the B&M ratchet style shifter. Have driven a Z32 with one of these installed recently and while it takes some getting used to it would definitely cut your lap times/drag times down.

A manualised valve body is $660 or so from them, ratchet shifter another $500.

Hmm the car that George’s motor went in got all that done and was definitely $3.something. Probably included other work.

Then more than likely it was rebuilt, a valve body on its own is 600-1000 dollars plus 500 for a shifter.
