No firm date yet but it's on again late this year, anyone who wishes to join the Z Car Club Q Inc group and thereby secure garage accomodation can email a EOI to David d1770@tpg.com.au Basically this group is about old Datsuns with lot's of 240Z's and similar, importantly most of the drivers will have track experience, in 2016 it was pretty good with not much wankery going on.

Unless you are a Bathurst gun already then we suggest regularity rather than sprints, also an old Datsun is not mandatory, a newer Datsun like a Z32 would be fine.

I'm in on this one as soon as they start taking entries. Timing didn't work out last year, but this year should be a-ok.

    Yay, a Z32 :)

I'll be bringing the Z31 V8 project if it's finished in time, car will be way faster than the driver but Bathurst can be all about the experience for some of us.

Sorry, won't be in a zed :( but it has lambo doors, so that's basically the way the z32 is going right?

I thought about it, but the cost of replacing the cluster would allow me to buy and bastardise 3 zeds with as much glitter as i could find, so i decided against it.

I did how ever hang a small disco ball from the rear view mirror.

Depends on how much track time I get at EC this year and also I suppose if there's a minimum lap time restriction on regularity. While I've steered MtP before, not sure how comfortable i'll be dialing the bull in for the sprints.

Our Datsun AKA Nissan group is nearly full already, this is not sales talk but if you want the experience of your motorsport lifetime then do it. Seriously, it doesn't have to be about lap times, it can be about wow!

Would you take a non-zed in your group? I planned to enter separately, but happy to tag along.

No names but our Z32 entrant is active in Sprints at both Lakeside and Morgan Park, I'm sure that he would help any other entrant although really for Bathurst some prior Sprint experience is advisable to do Regularity there.

If you can do the times to give sprints a go then I guess you won't be reading this anyway :)

We have the dates, 16 to 19 Nov, sprints on Thu and Fri, regularity Sat and Sun. Entries will open some time in Jul so join our sensible driving Nissan/Datsun regularity group although a few euros have snuck in lol.

Good to have you aboard AM, the standard was excellent in 2016 and the same drivers are repeating so no problems.

We have collected a few BMW's too, someone needs to buy Unique's Z32 and bring that along to add some cred to the Jap lineup.
